Any theories on why Trump is sending troops?

You’ve already said you won’t oppose Trump out of a cowardly fear of consequences.

Why should anyone believe anything you say about him now?
Because my intellect is fully intact.

I sort of asked this elsewhere with other questions, but want to repeat just the query in the subject line. What are the various theories commentators and DP participants have as to why Trump decided to send unrequested troops to US cities at a time when crime is down? Has Trump explained this in any rational way?
Kristallnacht

It's a warm up for before the midterms next year, when we have an "incident" that requires "elections to be postponed until the safety of the public can be guaranteed".
Yup, he wanted to do that in 2020.

But I guess that seemed normal to a lot of people.

Trump is doing his best to destroy the American government. 3 1/2 years to go. With their silence, Republicans agree.
Trump has picked the perfect target for his destruction of America -- our major cities.

Nearly every major city in the U.S. is controlled by Democrats. Obviously, most of the crime in the U.S. is in cities controlled by Democrats. The same is true with the number of illegal immigrants.

Compare the amount of crime and the number of illegal immigrants in New York City with that of Omaha, Nebraska. You get my point?

So, while Trump is trying to quell violence in Gaza, he causes riots and disorder in Washington, D.C., Portland, Oregon, Chicago, Illinois, and L.A to justify sending in troops in America's cities.

Republicans think this is smart. They will say nothing regarding this issue.

What else would you call it?

Against an insertionist separatist terrorist organization why is that such a problem do you support it?
Who is the supposed "organization?

But your honesty isn't. You've already admitted you won't oppose Trump out of fear, so why should anyone believe anything you say about him?

I have this theory that has the interesting characteristic of being utterly incomprehensible to those on the political left: he's doing it to enforce immigration laws that blue state officials keep saying is not their job to do.

Sorry thus is too deep for you to follow.

And you believe this.

Good God

No, it's pretty simple. You've stated that you won't oppose Trump regardless of what he does because of cowardice, so even if he is objectively wrong, you will lie and say he is right.

I think Donald is testing to see how much he can get away with.

Has something to do with out-of-control violent crime in some cities that the state or local politicians don't seem to have the inspiration to solve.
Yeah, because Iraq in 2004 sure was peaceful and crime free with US troops patrolling the streets 🙄

J B Pritzker nailed it:
It’s really kinda sad that Vladimir Putin is basically the only world leader in history Americans appear to comprehend exists.

There are so many more fitting examples you could choose from— pre civil war Spain, for example— but instead it’s just Russia Russia Russia 24/7.

Might be because Putin is currently alive and an adversary, not dead for 2 centuries ?

The Spanish Civil War was not two centuries ago, or even one century ago. The U.S. was allied with Francoist Spain for decades.

My point was there were plenty of particularly bad leaders over the course of many years. Putin happens to be our advisory now.

Are you pulling that old load of crap about antifa not being an organization but an idea a lie and nobody believes.
Who is the head of antifa? Any name will do.

Can you post without fallacy?
