And We Thought That Russia Wasn’t Offering Anything In the Peace Negotiations (1 Viewer)

It's a depressing situation that our country has become so weak under Trump. Every time I see Rubio sitting on that couch, I have to wonder if he strongly regrets taking a job with the Trump WH.
Sure, at times Rubio has looked uncomfortable, perhaps even miserable, but he's stayed on as SecState. He has issued statements that toe the line.

I doubt he regrets being part of the trump administration. He seems willing to put up with being on the wrong side of history. I'm wondering how he expects his political career to profit from being trump's lackey, from pandering to putin....

Big concessions!
Donald Trump said on the campaign trail that he would make peace between Ukraine and Russia in a day.
Three months later, he’s behind schedule, and his plan now is to end the fighting quickly by selling out Ukraine and its people to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The proposal that Trump, Vice President J. D. Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are pushing is not a framework for peace, but a rich and bloody reward to Moscow for three years of aggression and war crimes.

To have regrets would mean he has a conscience and at least an ounce of integrity.

So...no.

We need a president who's tougher on Putin than on Harvard.

"Trump: "Stopping the war, stopping taking the whole country. Pretty big concessions"

Trump admires and uses the extortion rackets like the mafioso. "We'll make them an offer they can't refuse!"

Rubio has sold his soul as well as any bit of integrity that he might have had. There is no going back. There is only fawning. Vance and Hegseth are honored to support Trump’s fecklessness and lies.

I’m not sure anymore that he’s on the wrong side of history.

Who said that human history was necessarily going to be about any kind of progress towards being more moral or just? Donald Trump may just be the best we can do.
😞

For him to have regret he'd have to have shame. Anyone who works for someone who used to belittle them has none.

We've done better, so we know he's not the best we can do. Much better!

Trump angered by Zelenskyy, Ukraine position on Crimea, as U.S. pulls back from talks

Trump was fully aware of the "No trading land for a cease-fre" reality. But now, 3 months into his presidency, Trump has not brought an end to the Ukraine-Russo War and he doesn't have a clue.

But Trump realizes how anemic he looks with each passing day without a Trumpian "Art of the Deal" solution.

So Trump is fully prepared to throw Ukraine under the bus and withold all US aid.

In Donald Trumps putrid little mind, allowing Putin win the war is better than: 1) The war continuing or 2) A Ukrainian victory.

I hope Europe picks up the slack from "Surrender Don".
