Analysis found Trump speaks at a 3rd- to 7th grade reading level- His leadership failure explained

That's an intriguing area of consideration.

When the frantic calls for the over stated needs by the healthcare system as shrieked by the State Governors were being trumpeted by the media, I checked the availability of ICU beds internationally.

Turns out that the US had the most ICU beds per Capitan THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? In truth, it's THE BEST IN THE WORLD. THE BEST.

Promises made. Promises kept.

Interesting. So, that would suggest you have 115,500 beds.

Current infection numbers: 1.4 million.

You saying you're feeling good right now? Maybe the reason why so many of Trump's supporters still love him can be demonstrated by the following international comparison of Math skills.

We don't need math skills to know that almost no hospitals have been over burdened and that initial projections were stupidly wrong.

That the initial death rate of 3.5% was also stupidly wrong.

That lockdowns had zero effect according to statistical studies.

And that social distancing is actually counter productive, because the only way to prevent a depression is Herd Immunity while protecting the vulnerable like Florida and Sweden have done.

we voted in a President of the lowest common denominator.

that's like hiring a head coach who was a below average special teams coordinator.

The problem with lbrls is they speak over people's heads as if they are more intelligent and know more. It's most important to speak in a most common way to communicate what you mean so as to reach as broad an audience as possible and not leave out those with perhaps a smaller vocabulary. That's how Trump connected with His supporters and they thus better understand Him than the lbrls and love Him for it.

Well they must be star wars fans because "Yoda" talk is difficult to follow

What is the evidence for social distancing during global pandemics? - CEBM

I like the Sweden reference - you should go look up the "statistical studies" on how it's doing, in comparison with it's neighboring countries.

But, hey, I appreciate the response - I didn't ask for someone to prove my point, but you went ahead and did it anyway. :) I love how you started out with "we don't need no stinking math skills", then went on to try to prove your point with numbers...as far as I can tell, your answer to all of this is to sacrifice great numbers of lives for the economy. Does that mean you're volunteering?

and none of this is possible without Rush/Sean/Fox. they paved the way for a really, really bad President. hell, their listeners cheer this horrible President.

it's the voter's fault though. they have to be smarter and not be conned by Rush/Sean/Fox/Trump. this entire mess lies at their feet.

Sorry, a column in the WSJ weeks ago.

Even Cuomo was stunned just days ago at the finding that most cases in NY were among those who were secluded, not from being in public.

You don't understand. This is not a binary choice issue. It's a choice of deaths from corona or deaths from a deep recession or even a depression.

And social distancing and lockdowns of low risk people, even if effective, don't save lives. They just postpone deaths.

The virus MUST be allowed to spread to achieve Herd Immunity. Or we keep the economy largely shut down and enter a depression in which far more people would die. Meaning that even if Sweden has a higher death rate today, surrounding countries at some point will have the same.

But yes, I am at an age where I'm in the risk category, but I don't want the economy to collapse because of the risk I face.

Promises made? Since when does the US President promise the number of critical care beds? I thought government is supposed to stay out of our healthcare - isn't that what we always hear? Now you're saying Trump (the government) controls our healthcare to the point that he dictates how many critical care beds we have?

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

Here is just some of what Trump accomplished before the virus hit.

An economic boom.

Fast rising wages for the first time in two decades.

A big tax cut for the middle class.

Falling poverty rates, welfare use and food stamp use.

Not only is working to prevent China from stealing and cheating its way to economic superiority, but established a strong bipartisan consensus about the issue. That's one of the biggest issues perhaps of the century, certainly for decades to come.

Vastly cutting illlegal immigration, much of it paid for by Mexico's controlling its southern border.

Building a border wall.

Induced Mexico to protect their southern border and prevent illegals from passing through Mexico to the US.

Changing many policies regarding immigration to lower immigration fraud, most prominently "asylum" claims, 90% of which are fraudulent.

Rebuilding the military that Obama left in horrific shape.

Most deregulation in almost half a century.

Ended Obama's War on Coal.

Expansion of oil and gas exploration and production.

Partial repeal of Obamacare toward far superior Free Market poicies.

Going from losing manufacturing jobs to gaining them.

A good post-NAFTA trade deal and an excellent one with China; working on the second.

He is draining the Swamp. How many high FBI, Justice Dept and State Dept officials have been fired? And indictments will come of Obama and Deep State officials who participated in the coup attempt against him.

Some true, some debatable, some false. But let's leave it at that your believe my believe Trump's accomplishments.

But that's yesterday's news

Today when we need him, Trump is a complete bumbling idiot. His lack of leadership ability, followed by his narcacism, has taken our nation from:

A virus coming to

A U.S. spread to

A pandemic to A crisis

And to an economic collapse

To millions unemployed

He has to speak at a 3rd grade level so the radical left wing white house reporter like Acosta can understand him.

"Has to"

Aw, poor little Trump those snowflake fascists forcing him to talk like a child?

I mean by that reasoning you'd think Trump would talk like an adult to make radical left wing reporters not understand him and look foolish but that's a little too logical.

I was in the military under Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump. It really hasn't changed that much, except our uniforms, which changed under almost every one (ridiculous). Presidents have very little to do with it.

He's not responsible for the boom, just as he the recent drop is not his responsibility either. The economy doesn't care who's President. Their policies have little effect on the economy.

I won't go through the rest since I only addressed one thing and you dismissed it without any debate, deflecting to this rant already posted before. It doesn't change that he made promises that any idiot could see he couldn't keep and some still defend him as if that is a positive.

Good point. Trump does not make sense to a broader audience because His thought is not logical and mind not rational to people who use word choice in sentence structure above a 6th grade level and receive information at an emotional level above adolescence. He didn't reach a broader audience. He just clicked in particular with the goiter heads. That's also how Trump eliminated His Republican competition during candidacy for nomination.

Why has trump failed as the leader of the United States and all American?

Trump just yesterday offered an incoherent message on his handling of the pandemic crisis. And once again attacked a reporter and stopped out of briefing like a child.

Trump's leadership, in reality, trump's lack of leadership from day 1 of covid 19s appearance, has driven our nation into chaos.

Yes, when a leader, leads with chaos, well the result is chaos to those he leads.

Why are we here? Why is the United States divided, suffering and confused about our future?

Why has trump falied to lead? Below will demonstrate that trump can't help his poor leadership. Trump just wasn't born and then properly developed to have such an important job.

A job to lead a nation of Americans

An analysis of the President's first 30,000 words uttered in office found Mr Trump speaks at a third- to seventh-grade reading level – lower than any other President since 1929. Mr Trump’s vocabulary and grammatical structure is “significantly more simple, and less diverse” than any President since Herbert Hoover, the analysis found

Trump speaks at level of 8-year-old, new analysis finds | The Independent

Donald Trump struggled to pronounce a series of words in front of military veterans during a rambling speech that ranged from attacks on media outlets he disagrees with to threats to release Isis militants into Europe

Earlier this year, Mr Trump made headlines when he repeatedly failed in an attempt to say "origins" while in a White House press briefing with the Nato secretary general.

“I hope they now go and take a look at the oranges, the oranges of the investigation, the beginnings of that investigation,” Mr Trump said in April, in reference to the special counsel probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election

Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, okay, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, okay, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true!

Donald Trump’s unique speaking style, explained by linguists - Vox

Research has shown that changes in speaking style can result from cognitive decline. STAT therefore asked experts in neurolinguistics and cognitive assessment, as well as psychologists and psychiatrists, to compare Trump’s speech from decades ago to that in 2017; they all agreed there had been a deterioration, and some said it could reflect changes in the health of Trump’s brain

Trump used to be more articulate. What could explain the change?

During his speech, the POTUS stumbled terribly, and he also slurred some words. Journalist Aaron Rupar uploaded a video of Trump’s speech, where he was unable to pronounce the word “counting,” while catching his breath.

The POTUS also struggled to pronounce coronavirus, and he said it by separating corona and virus when they are supposed to be pronounced together.

Donald Trump Struggles To Read From Teleprompter, Pronounce ‘Counting’; POTUS Out Of Breath

The result of trump's inherent lack of mental fitness and IQ to lead our nation:

Americans are coming to the realization that their lives are in shambles, their lives are about to change for the worse, Americans are becoming concerned about their and their families lives and future. Americans are wondering; who is going to lead of out of this mess and as polling shows, it's not trump

I agree, but honestly, most Americans didn't need an official analysis, we all knew that early on.

In Indiana, we have passed the peak of infection and the peak of deaths unless there is a flare up much greater than anything that occurred before or during the Coronavirus Shut Down.

However, right now, there are about 40% of all ICU beds available. About 80% of Indiana's Ventilators are available.

Dedicated to Covid-19 Patient care are about 17% of ICU beds and about 7% of Ventilators. These percents have been pretty constant throughout this thing.

To maintain your delusion, you need to have suspended your critical thought process.

Do you have a motivation to not think or is it just a natural state of being for you?

I believe the president promised to do everything in his power to give aid WHEN REQUESTED BY THE VARIOUS STATES from the Federal level.

There was no patient who needed a ventilator or an ICU bed who didn't get one when needed.

What you think is obviously flawed.

I know that given your own tendency to avoid thought at all cost, when such thought might lead to making Dear Leader look bad, you might expect the same in others, but this is not the case. The post I was discussing seemed to suggest that having a certain amount of beds, or even the most amount of beds, made your healthcare system "the best". I countered with the fact that the number of potential people needing those beds far outnumbers the beds you have, to demonstrate that number of beds is not evidence of Trump doing a "great job". Trump did not do a "great job". Trump's lack of leadership and dysfunctional response lead to tens of thousands of needless American deaths, and helped spread the virus further.

Thanks, America. Love having you guys as a neighbour.

Thank goodness for the lockdown, which bridged the gap your lack of preparedness created. Now that you guys are "ready to reopen", let's see how that continues to work for you. Because the inevitable second wave all the experts are talking about is coming, and you guys have decided the best way to deal with that is to hang around with your pants down.

Anyway...you were saying something about "Confronted with facts the destroy the fantasies guiding your life, you attack the guy who presents the facts"? You must be a Trumpist...and at this point a Trumpist accusing anyone of being delusional carries about the same weight as a flat earther accusing anyone of being delusional. :)

There is not a single thing in your post that is connected in any way to rational thought.

The FEDERAL government does NOT control the healthcare industry. Healthcare is regulated at the state level. The President has labored throughout this crisis to support the Governors' efforts that vary state by state.

Are you really unaware of this? You might want to read the enumerated powers and the Tenth Amendment.

The President put together a staff to assess the needs and capabilities present in the states. WHEN REQUESTED he provided help requested by the Governors.

When Governors, like Cuomo, displayed their utter lack of understanding, the President's team delivered more than what was needed even when it fell short of their outlandish, overstated requests.

There were several states in which the Army Corp of Engineers constructed hospitals, usually in just a few days to care for patients as requested by various Governors. The president also sent a couple huge hospital boats.

Did you REALLY mis all of this?

Your ignorance is showing.

Interesting departure from rationality.

The facts are the facts.

The US has more ICU beds Per Capita than any country in the world.

If you are distressed by the dangers of dealing with the US, you probably need to campaign to stop any interaction with the US.

Maybe exploiting the the trade potential held by Liechtenstein...

 Alright, Code. There's a point in a conversation with a Trump disciple where it stops being a conversation with them, and it becomes about them, and it usually happens when logic and fact has been presented and the Trump supporter opts for "alternative facts" and tantrum throwing. It looks like we've hit that point, because all I see in your last post is a hissy fit filled with nonsense. Let me try to summarize, to get you back on track.

My point was that just because you have a lot of beds, it doesn't have any bearing on how your worthless president has handled this situation. The infection rate is what speaks to that. And in that regard, compared to much weaker, poorer countries, you as a country, with Trump at the helm, have performed pathetically. That's the fact. And yes, I understand that you will never be able to accept it, let alone admit it.

Interesting story. The Germans had the far superior army at the start of WW2. They lost the war. Now, with that in mind, let's talk about number of beds vs. infection rates.
