An honest question to those hate guns. How many Gun Rights organizations do you know about?[W:29]

Re: An honest question to those hate guns. How many Gun Rights organizations do you know about?

I can see you still have issues with reading interpretation, being polite and mannerly, and staying on topic.
Nothing you are talking about has anything to do with this thread.
Quit hating and start participating.

Better yet, the system provides a means to deal with your type and grants me the pleasure of never hearing a thing you say for the rest of my life.

good for you. what do they teach, besides pointing and shooting?

That has nothing to do with this thread.
You are doing nothing but diverting and hijacking this thread.
Now please stop.
Discuss the question asked in the OP or remain silent and read other members answers.

Is politeness and manners something they no longer observe in California?
or is this your particular specialty?

Re: An honest question to those hate guns. How many Gun Rights organizations do you know about?

I think very few Americans "hate" guns, but a growing majority thinks there should be some limits and regulations, like all of our rights have.

The second amendment is very clear about a WELL REGULATED militia, and at no point grants every American, no matter how mentally instable, access to every form of weapon on the planet.

the second amendment grants NOTHING. It merely reiterates that the federal government was NEVER DELEGATED ANY POWER WHATSOEVER to interfere with the arms private citizens could keep and bear.

Well regulated meant well trained and armed. So historically speaking, you're advocating that everyone should seek Navy SEAL training and be able to have a tank in his backyard.

This question is not about Gun Control per se, but more to address the limited knowledge most gun haters have about how strong Gun Rights organizations are.
Did anyone know there are much more than merely the NRA only?
Gun haters seem to think the NRA is the only Gun Rights organization out there, yet become bewildered each time their extreme emotionalism-based legislation gets shot down.
The reason is, you guys think the NRA is the only one out there fighting for gun rights.
It is not. Far from it.
yet post after post brings up the NRA as if they are the only game in town.
Yes, they are the oldest, but far from being the only one.
There are scores of them. Possibly over one hundred or more.
This is why you loose. You think there is only one enemy of your banning legislation and there are not.
You keep focusing on the NRA, the NRA only, and no one else.
That is our strength, and that is why we keep winning.
You overly emotional hyperbolic rhetoric does not help either.

Let's break it down.
1. State Rifle & Pistol orgs.
2. several National competition orgs..ie...Cowboy Action, Silhouette, Bullseye, Trap, Skeet, Lever Action Silhouette, 3 gun, ect, ect, ect.
3. Local gun clubs
4. FFA shooting clubs
5. College shooting clubs
6. JROTC / ROTC shooting clubs
7. Second Amendment Foundation
and yes, gun manufacturers also support these groups. As it should be.

and much, much more that I probably do not even know about.

You see why your continued focus on the NRA ONLY is failing you?
The NRA could dissolve away tomorrow and the fight would still be won.

Now, my original question was; How many Gun Rights Groups do you actually know about besides the NRA?
If you want to enact a national law, you need to fight each and every one of them, and win.
Yet, if you only focus on the NRA and the NRA only, you will loose every time. As you have been.

If you get out more, you will see gun ownership is a grassroots local thing.
No gun owner is a zombie doing the NRA's bidding in a mindless trance.
The more you keep thinking that, the more we will keep winning.

I am NOT an NRA member, but I AM a member of the Texas State Rifle Association and a member of two local clubs.
I vote nationally, statewide, and locally, and contribute.
I have all my teeth, a college degree, DO drive a truck, but only have an occasional beer or rum.
If you want to win, you have to convince people like me the justice of your cause.
I will respectfully listen to you, if you return that same respect back.
Do you have this ability?

or am I a blood soaked NRA member simply because I own a firearm (in your eyes)
How has that tactic been working for you?

Uh - what?

Uh - what?

My apologies.
The OP statement was rather long.
I will give you the basics.

How many gun rights organizations do you know about if you are a gun hater... besides the NRA?

EXAMPLE: I was watching CNN this morning, and when they were talking about the gun issue, they mentioned the NRA 11 times in one minute.
So i can possibly see why those that only watch left leaning news shows only talk about the NRA and nothing else.

hence the question....How many OTHER guns rights organizations do any gun haters know about?

We as gun owners know of several and fight them all. That is how we win.

You (not personally you) gun haters might gain more victories if you quit drinking the Kool-Aid of MSNBC and CNN and start concentrating your efforts against such a hard target as the NRA. They are powerful for a reason.

More simply....don't throw eggs against a brick wall and expect something other than the obvious result.

EXAMPLE: I hate what opioids are doing to my beloved country, but I am not dumb enough to attack "Big Pharma".
Anyone going after those people usually wind up depressed with a hole in their head and a suicide note on their computer.
I would take the fight to the local clinic, then the city, then the county.

One thing I certainly would NOT DO would be to get the majority of my intel from the media.
They are paid to say what they say and have no moral compass.

see the correlation?

The dishonest people already know that, they just have little to argue against that so they make up arguments about liberals and try to argue that. Then deflect every time their stupid position is destroyed

I said nothing of the sort.

It doesn't make much sense for me to try to reason with someone who thinks even the most violent felons should have access to any and all guns of their choosing, lest their rights be infringed.

TD never said nor implied that.
You also never said or implied what you got attacked for.

No one is listening to the other person.

:2wave: Glad to see you back. If I could talk reasonably with anyone about the question in my OP I feel it would be you.
Just remember, this thread is NOT about gun control.

It seems to have been derailed like a Nazi supply train in an old movie.
( a slight envokement of Godwin's Law)
It seems to have been hijacked like an airliner in the 70's.

Not one member has answered the question that is the topic of this whole thread.
They just want to fight and argue about gun control......forever, it seems.

TD doesn't think the government has ANY right to regulate the second amendment AT ALL. If you'd actually talked to him before on the subject he'd make it abundantly clear to you. No government in guns, that is his position. No point in arguing with the extremists on either side.

I do not have years of history here.
I just commented on the text i read in the exchange.

matters not.
My thread got beat to death with crap that had nothing to do with the question asked.
I learned my lesson.
Don't ask anything members have to think about.
It is all about pre-programmed reactions and emotions.

Four pages and still no answer to the original question.
How silly of me to expect more.

The NRA is the most vocal and they spend more money of issues that any other. What the smaller groups do is not mentioned unless they get out there. People are going to vote their conscience on the gun issue.

the entire gun restrictionist movement is based on dishonesty and fueled by lies and disinformation

Thank you for being the first to reply after five pages.
I will admit to you freely, the NRA does get the most news coverage.
They also have full-time people to deal with the media.
The smaller groups prefer to not do that, but instead garner grassroots support at their local levels...where it counts.

It is one thing for a politician to ignore NRA questionnaires, but a completely different picture if he ignores hundreds of letters from those he represents in his local district.

So may I summarize, you know of no other gun rights groups except the NRA?

I already told you that you won't get any answers because you're asking a stupid question to a group of people that barely exists. People in favor of gun control are not "gun haters", so if you want a honest response you're going to have to start with a little honesty yourself.

most activist gun controllers hate the politics of the NRA and gun owners but try to conceal that motivation with claims they hate criminal misuse of firearms. Pro gun organizations don't do a good enough job in educating the public about that fact

People in favor of gun control are gun rights haters, and typically ignorant of the Constitutionality, effectiveness and enforceability of the laws they propose.

No lectures please. I have been polite with you, how about some reciprocation.
Please ditch the amateur psychoanalyticals.

You haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about.

given how many lies you have told on gun issues, you best back up that charge with some proof. He is correct-most gun banners are ignorant of the current state of firearms laws and ignore or reject the constitution

So you believe that even the most violent convicted criminals have an absolute right to any weapon on the planet because applying any conditions of any kind is unconstitutional? Nope, bull****.

most activist gun controllers hate the politics of the NRA and gun owners but try to conceal that motivation with claims they hate criminal misuse of firearms. Pro gun organizations don't do a good enough job in educating the public about that fact

I already told you that arguing with an extremist that thinks even the most violent criminals have a right to any firearm on the planet isn't worth it, so you can address that or stop trying to talk to me.

Most Americans aren't bat **** crazy and admit there are SOME limitations to all rights, including the second. You should know that and its legal precedents, Mr. Lawyer.

The gun crowd is beginning to spin out I think. You heard the story of a police reserve man in a school who accidentally discharged his weapon and injured three...

It's getting nothing but worse for them.
