An Arizona priest used one wrong word in baptisms for decades. They're all invalid.

And of course that is what Satan wants you to do...anything besides getting to the truth of the matter makes him happy...
Lol.

The Truth is that the way christians describe their God he is a self centered and immoral jerk......and not worthy of respect much less worship.

We unbelievers think you as good at speaking for the devil as you would be at speaking for gods.

The Bible gives us insight to Satan's thinking...

Good point..

And the Harry Potter series gives insight into Voldemorts thinking.
Only I can see Satan's workings in progress every day...HP, not so much...

I'm aware that you think you can speak for the Gods and understand the mind of Satan because of a book you read.

So did the folks that invalidated those baptisms. ;)

And it is obvious to most that they are wrong...in spite of your objections, the truth has a certain ring to it...

No, you can't.

You just think you can.

Fiction is fiction.

Then why do you believe in a book where God required the sacrifice of Goats?

Or, are you the only one who gets to dismiss things that don't "ring true"?

I read this.

I laughed my ass off that some people may believe this shit.

So funny, So, so funny.

"Some guy said one word wrong when you were a baby, so you have to go to hell."
- A deity who definitely loves you

Blaming God for what silly humans do...that line of thinking is really getting old...
I'm happy to blame the silly humans for silly choices. And to make fun of them for believing strange things.

Why would the sort of person who believed God would send someone to hell because a priest said "we" instead of "I" like eighty years ago... continue to worship that deity!? If God really worked that way, God would be an absolute monster! Why would you keep worshiping a monster!? I just can't understand those people.

People are gullible...what can I say?🤷‍♀️

I been reading all this and come to one conclusion. I'm thankful that I am saved by grace through faith, and not of works lest any man should boast. Baptism by immersion is an outward expression of an inward change that has already occurred in the life of a CHRISTIAN. The said CHRISTIAN has already professed his faith in CHRIST, the HOLY SPIRIT comes into that individual (the baptism that counts) and then the SAVED individual makes a public declaration of his faith through immersion when possible. In some instances (example the thief on the cross) individuals are never dunked. Baptism is strictly a time for witnessing to the world that one has given his life over to CHRIST.

The Catholic Church (and some others, it would seem) has ritualized baptism and it is generally called Christening. And is carried out on babies. While I do believe that dedication of a baby is a virtuous attempt to raise a child in the love of GOD, I do not see any value of sprinkling of babies, as they do not profess faith. And the ritual does nothing to save the infant in question-----no matter what some "church/organization" may say.

It seems to me that if your religion teaches that your eternal salvation depends on another person muttering exactly the right words without even a minor mistake, you should probably question your religion.
What about in the beginning where where God refers to himself as us?

Is not Christ in the Church?

I think the Vatican's got to lay off the roast beef.

They believe Jesus/God saved Mary, but not after he was born. She was saved from the moment of her Immaculate Conception, in Catholic dogma. As your webpage notes: "When we say that Jesus is Mary’s savior, we understand that to mean that he saved her from sin by preserving her from it."
Mary needs a Savior, in the same way Jesus needed to be Baptized, to show by example.

And others are just too lazy to search for the truth...
More like they're not gullible enough to buy into ridiculous stories. Others may search for actual evidence and not settle for empty claims and stories.

You are just making up excuses for your own denial. If a person ends up talks about GOD, no matter the starting subject, you can bet he is a Christian.
