It really saddens me when people threw their kids away, the boy that I care for was cast out by his parents for being gay, my lover the same. They are broken hearted by this. Many nights I just held them as they cry, its all I can do.

I sure would, and I wouldn't want the other kids to torment him/her about it either. Kids call each other "gay" whether they really are or not. The word has come to be a slang term for "inferior". That sort of thing needs to be stopped.

my bad, I was replying to the notion of asking parents if they wanted their children to be gay or not. What sexual orientation a parent may prefer their child to follow was not the issue, but rather having equal treatment under the law, no matter the sexual orientation should be a no brainer.

Reminds me of the 60's argument when a majority of citizens polled to say equal rights for blacks was good, but were less enthused if you asked if they wanted their daughter under a big black buck every night.

Sad attempt to flip the script... I do feel bad for cast out kids, for whatever justification a parent or parents wish to give. hope your situation turns out well... well well enough...

A big black buck? I haven't heard a black person called a "buck" since my grandmother died. Her generation, (born late 19th. century) referred to black males as 'bucks" as they didn't consider them to be human. It's a term applied to deer and rabbits.

Given the choice, I'd rather my kids be straight, as the likelihood of grandchildren is greater, but it's more important that they be comfortable being what god made them to be.

and children can be adopted.

the situation is good, not perfect but far from bad. It just dissent make sense that the parents wants should come before the child's needs

Well here being pro-family has moved to the left, it just changed definition being pro-family here means you support same-sex marriage and support helping families with tax credits/daycare allowance for example.

It has gone too far..Why do gay people want to be married in the sight of God...

Why are our noses rubbed in it every day..why don't Gay people just get on with their sexual preferences in private??

In summer..one of our lovely parks was the site of a ''Pink picnic''

Men dressed in frocks..rolling about in the grass at 2 pm...snogging..

In front of children who were there to play on the swings..

The elephant in the room was that..3 weeks before..the council had closed down the public conveniences due to overtly gay sexual behaviour...

There is no difference between someone who loves the same-sex and someone who loves the opposite sex. What if I said straight people should be forced to "get on" with their sexual preferences in private? Gay couples are the same as straight couples, they both love each other they just happen to love the same sex. Your children can see straight people kissing, what difference does it make if they are a same-sex couple?

No..straight couples do not french kiss in the park or run around in their underwear when small children are present who have no idea what ''Gay'' is..

Do you not think it would be nicer to let our children decide when they begin to have sexual feelings..towards one sex or the other..

That's when they make the decision for themselves, seeing a gay couple in the park won't change anything, whether they turn out being straight or gay.

WTF are you talking about? Straight people do make out in public. And I have never seen anyone gay or straight run around in their underwear although im sure that there are gay and straight people that do that.

Due to the fact in today's society there are many parents that don't see same-sex couples as equal and pass those views onto their children, which is part of the issue.

They don't accept it..they have no idea what it's about..it is only the gay nazi's ramming it down their throats..

What happens afterwards when they have had the audacity to bend their heads in a house of God...and get ''married''..two men or women..

The next thing will be that they will say the holy trinity is homosexual..and re-write the bible..

This is disgusting and those parents do not deserve to have children. A parent's love is supposed to be unconditional. How anyone can do this to their own child just for being gay,which they don't choose to be, is beyond me.

Here in Ontario, Canada, parents can be forced to support their children until they turn 18, even if they kick them out.
