While these are very early days for the nation's new health care law, some Americans are already blaming it for higher premiums and few report much in the way of benefits so far.
The third quarter CNBC All-America Economic Survey finds nearly one in five Americans believe their health insurance costs have gone up because of Obamacare. The answers are highly partisan, but not entirely so. For example, about a third of Republicans and tea party supporters believe they have experienced negative economic effects from the law—about 10 points above the average—but 20 percent of Independents and 11 percent of Democrats are also among the group.

Many Americans believe dinosaurs and humans existed on this planet at the same time. Is the percentage relevant? If 100% believed it, would it be true?
and it just will get worse and America will remember who was the one who stood up for 21 hours fighting to keep this train wreck from happening. they will remember the ones who supported him the will remember the ones who did not they will remember the ones who called him names and they will remember the ones who voted to keep it funded
I can see the 2014 campaign commercials already they are going to be brutal for the ones on the wrong side of Obama care debate

It will get worse.
We have a really bad healthcare system. And no matter how much improvement Obamacare will bring, it will be blamed for every issue, every problem, every glitch in our current and future healthcare system, no matter what the truth is. Look at whats happening already. The ACA isnt in effect, yet all we hear is how horrible the healthcare system is getting from the Conservatives.
But I think overall, the American people will see that having health insurance outside of an employer is an incredible thing, and that the Democrats were the only party to deliver it. Then the non-South will banish the GOP into the wilderness for 40 years.

Just because americans have been lied to and believe it does not make it true, it just means lots of people who they respect have abused that respect. Americans believe lots of silly and insane things. Some americans believe the earth is 6000 years old. Some americans believe in a zombie savior made of crackers and wine. Some americans believe they are jedis. Some americans believe women are capable of turning off their reproductive organs in the case of rape. Some americans believe babies masturbate in the womb. Some americans believe our pollution problem is a myth. Some americans believe obama has a time machine which he used to forge birth records in a hawaian newspaper so he might one day become the first president from kenya. Some americans believe smoking is healthy for them. Some americans believe there is a galactic federation run by an overlord named xenu who was imprisoned in a hawaian volcano with a giant array of lazers that run on eternal batteries and the only person who found this out was a drug addled paranoid delusional prophet who wrote sci fi books in the middle of last century.
So what does this prove? Americans can be pretty friggen stupid when it comes down to it.
because thousand are already getting letters from their insurance companies either raising rates or dropping cover they are already experiencing layoffs and getting put on part time and it makes them wonder if all this bad is happening right befor the roll out it can only get worse
Right. And if it is or isnt related to Obamacare, its irrelevant You guys are gonna blame Obamacare no matter what.
You can't be friggin serious. Medium and large businesses are eliminating full time positions and cutting hours to under 30 a week and you think there is no connection?
you dont know crap about politics it isn't about who is right or wrong it isn't about what is true or not it is all about what the public believes and perceives
and it just will get worse and America will remember who was the one who stood up for 21 hours fighting to keep this train wreck from happening. they will remember the ones who supported him the will remember the ones who did not they will remember the ones who called him names and they will remember the ones who voted to keep it funded

And that would be ALOT of Republicans. Did you know that the exchanges will still be open even if the reckless fools in the House shut down the Govt.?
There is no stopping progress, you'd think you guys would have learned that by now.
not on the right but the low IQ voters in generalSo you admit the Low IQ voters on the right don't need facts, if they THINK it is so that is all that matters, all proof aside... :2wave:
If a company attempts to gouge you, you can switch plans with no penalty or being disallowed because of pre-existing conditions. If the ill-informed read the 'metal' plans in ACA they might abandon their current plans.
There is plenty of time for the ACA to show it's effect before the next election. Though some maybe cynical and have CONvoluted recent history to fit their whine- the American people didn't vote facts but what they were duped into believing when Willard lost- I have greater faith in the masses.
how many times do I need to say this THE GOVERNEMENT IS NOT GOING TO SHUT DOWN IT IS ALL ABOUT 2014 republicans know the are not going to get Obama care repealed not now. it was to show the public who was on what side on the inevitable train wreck and it will be used to beat the ones how supported the train wreck over the head with it

You ignore stories like these:
Opinion: Obamacare isn't destroying jobs - Jared Bernstein and Paul Van de Water - POLITICO.com
True, some employers say they are cutting employees’ hours to avoid the requirement to provide health coverage to full-time workers, which the ACA defines as those working 30 hours or more a week.
Is Professor Baker suggesting that the 'employers claims' are lies in his abstract calculations from the CPS? He provides plenty of alternatives companies could use to avoid reducing hours...like dump health insurance and pay the fines. Perhaps he feels (subliminally suggests) they are too dumb to figure that one out. However the bill does provide a clear incentive to reduce workers’ hours below 30 per week and many employers claim to be making such reductions in hours.

It appears you have supported the initial supposition...?
