If the US had truly entered the war, putin would have about 0 tanks left, give or take 0. His mobile artillery would be smoking craters. He would be invading Ukraine with women and children wearing bermuda shorts.

Well, we helped those countries to fight their battles with our own blood and treasure.
In retrospect, we probably did too much of the heavy lifting for them.
Ukraine, on the other hand, shows courage and a willingness to fight and die for their freedom.
We are supporting a nation that is willing to pay a heavy price to retain their independence.
I'm amazed and appalled by the anti-Ukraine sentiment on this and other opinion forums.

it is not that we " couldn't " win these wars, MAYBE if the Congress and in case of Nam the President would keep their nose out of the militaries job and let them do it we very well could have.
Ex. Nam every time we started winning and gaining ground they would call a for a cease fire , where we stood down and it gave them time to re-supply ( we weren't allowed to and they were not suppose to but they did) then we would go back to fighting and they were rested up and re-supplied
Keep the President and Congress out of the Militaries job and let them do it and we can win wars
