A school ordered a student to quarantine. His dad and two men confronted the principal with zip ties

How awful that a teacher would want to protect those under her care. The morons with the zip-ties are those who you should be condemning, not a teacher in loco parentis.

That's not how he swings though. He cheered on the dad that physically assaulted a teacher at another school over a mask issue. So of course these idiots get a nod of approval too.

They are claiming the principle is violating the governors orders. Is that's correct she is the one in the wrong.

And how does one settle a dispute such as this? Showing up at the school and threatening to "arrest" the principal or file suit in court? Any dumb ass shows up to my kids school like this and I will make it my personal mission to make their life hell.

I will concede that if they had arrested her they would of most likely been in the wrong but they did not do that.

I don't agree with what they did, at all.
However, who's to home school that kid? What's the dad's gonna instill on his offspring?
We should also consider that many parents, whatever their political or covid beliefs, have to be on the job, whatever job that may be. Garbage collector not showing up because son is unattended at home? Nurse, not showing up caring about his/her patience?
Nothing is as simple as partisans want you to think it is.

Quarantine is very simple. It's an inconvenience you undertake to stop the spread of disease.

What you don't do is threaten people because you are inconvenienced.

No they just showed up to threaten and bully people. I doubt they were in the legal right to do so.

That is a given. It is just that there are some very desperate people out there.

Guess what? Single parents and even working parents have been dealing with this sort of thing, what to do if there are issues that cause a child to need to be home from school for years, decades. You are just making a decent argument for affordable child care options and/or better pay so that someone can stay home with children or have a more flexible job while another parent works.
That's true.

Don't know if she is lying or not from just the video.
Question. If a person believes what they are saying is true, is it a lie?

I have said in other threads that eye witness testimony should be supported by over evidence. What you get with a eye witness testimony is that persons opinion of what happened. It may or may not be true.
The video was taken from the security camera in her room. The men threatening her were not a figment of her imagination and were caught on tape. "If you try to keep doing this you're going to have a big problem". A thinly-veiled threat or an invitation for brunch? You decide.

Videos absolutely can be used to deceive people. Do you believe everything you see when project veritas puts something out or do you view it with skepticism. Do you trust footage from news? Why or why not?
Video with audio? Yes, I trust it-or are you implying that the school principal sat down and edited the footage in the few minutes before the cops arrived?

They showed to protect defenseless children
No, they weren't. They were attempting to defend nothing more than their political ideology.

Had the kid been sent home to quarantine for lice, the father would have simply accepted it and adjusted. It was only because he didn't personally agree with the quarantine that he was protesting it, and it really had nothing to do with his child.

I will concede that if they had arrested her they would of most likely been in the wrong but they did not do that.
They attempted it and only backed down because she called the police and/or stood up to them. The father was using the threat to get what he wanted, to get his son back into school when he (the son) should have been quarantining.

Charged for what? Are parents prohibited from protecting their children now? Do schools have more authority over our children than the parents? Where's that law written?
They are prohibited from threatening teachers and administrators at the school if they don't get their way, because they don't like the rules that are put out.

The parents don't have any right to dictate, individually, what rules their children will or won't follow. And yes, there are laws against threatening members of the school staff or trespassing (you have to leave school grounds if they tell you to leave or you are trespassing).

Why should any of us trust that a partisan hit piece from the WaPo is being accurately portrayed?

It would not shock me to find out they are exagerating both the frequency and severity of these events. They are famous for it.

They made Nick Sandman a rich kid because they spread propaganda smearing his reputation. It's what they do to people they they despise and they despise Trump Cons more than anyone.
How about local pieces, saying basically the same thing?

The video of it was released by the guys who did it.

I feel bad for Jimmy, I do, but next it will be a dad with a gun or two.
Kids should not have been sent back to school without PPP until they could receive a vaccine because we can't protect our children until then which is evident by the packed pediatric ICU's.

If we were half the country we say we are we'd pay a parent to stay home, or provide a single daycare sitter until November or mandate masks with teachers vaccinated until kids can hopefully get their Covid protection. It's a pandemic, it's not a normal year, and we should act appropriately and stop acting like the pandemic ended in March.
I hear the microchips are biologically safe and the headaches go away with praising Soros.
