A Sad Day for Football

As if Favre is really going to retire! :2razz:

Speaking as a die hard Jets fan, God I hope so. If I have to watch Jerricho Cotchery run a 20 yard slant and Favre throw it 60 yards down field hitting the safety in stride, I'll cry myself to sleep from September to December.

The smug satisfaction that you get knowing that you just paid for tap water wrapped in plastic?
That's pretty good, but it's even better when you get the horrified faces of the enviro-nazis when you drink half of it and throw it in the garbage. Just a joke, finishing it and throwing the plastic gets a similar response though.

That reminds me of the time PETA was outside of my college protesting some stupid thing and me and about 10 of my buddies went out and bought a ton of beef jerky and walked up to them eating it and asked "So what are you guys protesting?" while gnawing on some dried cow.

We made a big show of it when you grab the jerky and tear the **** out of it with your teeth and then talking to them with our mouths full.

They were totally mortified.

One of my neighboring cities has a yearly omelet festival to celebrate their agriculture and it's contributions, PETA sent representatives asking them to switch to tofu for the festival, which would have completely defeated the purpose. I've seen them protest in my city a few times, but have decided to counter protest next time they are here by throwing a huge barbeque party within their effective smell radius.

Nice. I think all of my fondest memories of college were related to ****ing with people who had a "cause". Didn't matter what cause it was, I just went out of my way to piss them off. Even if I had some inclination to agreeing with them.

I ****ed with the anarchists, even though I'm borderline anarchist myself.

I was against going to war in Iraq, but I always made sure to piss off anti-war protesters who approached me.

If I would **** with people I actually agreed with in principle, you can just imagine what I did to the one's that I actually disagreed with.

Same here, my whole philosophy behind it is my live and let live nature, I cannot stand it when people try to bully their fellow citizens into adopting their stances and ways just to give them some kind of validation, or otherwise nag people into their way of life, last I checked this country is about liberty, freedom, and pursuing happiness, this is why I detest the typical activist.

I share some ideals with anarchists and libertarians, but the extreme of both philosophies can result in bad things, I don't personally care about people being completely free, as long as they do not hurt anyone, the extreme anarchists that I usually see are people who always want to **** **** up and create chaos, that doesn't tarnish the basic ideals of the philosophy in my mind as maximum liberty should be sought out, but it does remind me of the consequences prevalent in allowing bad people to act at will.

I'm not pro or anti Iraq war, I am mainly an optimist, but also a realist and knew that eventually there was going to be action in that country, we just left too many loose ends in the early nineties.

That would be fun to watch!
