In Helsinki, July 2018 Trump had a two hour secret meeting with Vladimir Putin. Russia's interference in the 2016 election benefited Trump. With that as a backdrop, Trump later said the meeting went great without offering any details.

What made the meeting so great? What was discussed? What was the mood? We don’t know the answer to any of those questions because the Trump-Putin meeting was a one-on-one affair, with only translators for each man in the room. There is no official readout of the meeting.

"Trump has secretly spoken with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia as many as seven times since leaving office, even as he was pressuring Republicans to block military aid to Ukraine to fight Russian invaders, according to journalist Bob Woodward," the Times.

Donald Trump said if he does not win November's presidential election it will mean the likely end of American democracy. "If we don't win this election, I don't think you're going to have another election in this country," Trump said.

Trump on Saturday threatened prosecution and “long term prison sentences” for election officials and political operatives, who cheated in the 2024 election, if he again wins the presidency in November. “WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law.”

The Republican candidate for President is helping Russia interfere in the 2024 election.

NBC reports, "Foreign adversaries will try to shake Americans’ confidence in the legitimacy of election results in November by giving voice to false claims or spreading their own disinformation about ballot counting, U.S. intelligence officials said Tuesday.

“As we approach Election Day, the intelligence community is also stressing that foreign efforts to undermine America’s democracy won’t end on Nov. 5,” a senior intelligence official told reporters in a virtual briefing.

"In its latest assessment of foreign threats to the election, intelligence officials said the main foreign powers seeking to shape the outcome of the vote — Russia and China — also were focusing on meddling in congressional and state races.

Republicans, using "X" and far right websites, are also helping Russia and China, but they are too dumb to know it.

I don't have time to correct all his lies. So, I will just show the lies. They are obvious, even to Trump. He knows he is lying, but he is providing what his audience wants to hear. Truth can go to hell.

CNN reports, "Former President Donald Trump did a Monday interview focused on foreign policy. And he repeated a bunch of his regular false claims on that subject and others – while sprinkling in some new inaccuracy for good measure – making at least 11 false claims in all.

Trump repeated his false claim that “we didn’t have one terrorist attack” during his presidency.

Trump repeated his false claim that although others said it would take years to “get rid of” the ISIS terror group, “I got rid of it in a month.”

Trump repeated his false claim that Iran did not fund terror groups during his presidency: Really dumb lies count.

Trump repeated his false claim that he successfully pressured Chinese leader Xi Jinping into ending oil purchases from Iran.

Repeating a false claim he made during his presidency, Trump said, “I rebuilt our entire nuclear force.”

Trump repeated his false claim that Vice President Kamala Harris, his opponent in the presidential election, let in 13,000 murderers and 425,000 criminals over the border.

Trump repeated his false claim that President Joe Biden “gets a lot of money from China, or he got a lot of money from China, tremendous amount of money.”

Is Trump really that stupid?

Turns out, he is. These are his words.

“Kamala spent all her FEMA money, billions of dollars, on housing for illegal migrants, many of whom should not be in our country,” Trump said at a Thursday rally in Michigan.

“They’re offering them $750 to people whose homes have been washed away. And yet we send tens of billions of dollars to foreign countries that most people have never heard of. They’re offering them $750. They’ve been destroyed. These people have been destroyed,” Trump said during a Butler, Pennsylvania, rally this past Saturday.

Trump's fans are not very bright. A conservative newspaper said that.

Trump's fans avoid the reality of responsible news. They get their news from Trump -- what little they get, thus accounting for their silence. If Trump said it, it must be true.

Most voters in Florida chose Trump in 2020. Most voters in South Carolina chose Trump in 2020. Most voters in North Carolina chose Trump in 2020. Most voters in Tennessee chose Trump in 2020.

Trump is telling his own people that FEMA is broke and not to waste time asking for relief!

Reuters, reports, "U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a call on Wednesday amid tensions with Iran, while Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant promised an Israeli strike against Iran will be "lethal, precise and surprising."

The reason for the delay might be because Netanyahu wisely wants to neutralize Hezbollah first to avoid a two-front war.

NBC reports, "New divisions sent to join an expanding ground invasion, troops raising a flag outside a border village and an unmistakable warning to Lebanese civilians: Israel is sending increasingly mixed signals about the goals of a military operation it had insisted was limited.

"Concerns over the country's plans mounted Wednesday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that Lebanese people either rise up against Hezbollah or face destruction like the Gaza Strip.

"For many observers, this amounted to a choice between civil war or the same fate as that of Palestinians in the besieged and bombarded enclave.

"You have an opportunity to save Lebanon before it falls into the abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza," Netanyahu said in a video address Tuesday delivered in English. "It doesn’t have to be that way."

Hezbollah and the Lebanese people brought this upon themselves.

NBC reports, "Kamala Harris is zeroing in on a monumental task that could make or break her prospects in the final month before Election Day: wiping out Donald Trump’s persisting advantage among voters on whom they trust to handle the economy.

While Harris has gained ground on stewardship of the economy, Trump still leads in most surveys about the issue, which frequently ranks as the top concern for voters. The Harris campaign and Democratic allies believe she must erode that advantage and at least fight it to a draw."

That should be easy. History and the current economy is on her side. The only obstacle for Harris is ignorance.

Americans think Trump and the Republican Party can handle the economy better than Harris and the Democrats.

As can be seen by the graph below, that opinion does not square with reality.

Why do Americans get it wrong? Lack of economic knowledge is a strong factor.

The covid induced inflation began during the last year of the Trump administration. Inflation is largely under control now, and the Fed lowered interest rates.

Most American are clueless on the American economy.

Many base their judgement on their own inability to take advantage of a vibrant economy.

The American economy is the largest in the world. The inflation rate is 2.53%. Unemployment is at a 60 year low. We have robust spending, and Americans are setting spending records on holidays like Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day.

"In August 2024, inflation amounted to 2.5 percent, while wages grew by 4.6 percent. The inflation rate has not exceeded the rate of wage growth since January 2023," Economic Policy Institute.

All this during a Democratic administration!

Kamala Harris is the vice-president of the United States, second in command of the Biden administration.

In a time of crisis, his state slammed by two massive hurricanes less than two weeks apart, the governor of Florida thought this was a good time to insult our vice-president.

The New York Post reports, "Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis briefed President Biden on the fallout from Hurricane Milton Thursday morning while hammering Vice President Kamala Harris once again over her swipe at him for not taking her call earlier this week.

"The Sunshine State governor stated that Harris “doesn’t understand what it means to respond to these natural disasters,” and again accused her of politicizing the crisis.

“She has no role in this process. And I’ve been dealing with these storms in Florida under both [former President Donald] Trump and [President] Biden. Neither of them ever politicized it,” DeSantis told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” hours after Milton made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane."

With his state in desperate need for help from the federal government as determined by the Biden administration, DeSantis just insulted the Biden administration.

How dumb is Trump?

This dumb. He harmed his own followers who believe everything he says.

But the real stupidity follows.

The Guardian continued, "As he was speaking about China being a developing nation, Trump said: “Well, we’re a developing nation too, just take a look at Detroit. Detroit’s a developing area more than most places in China.”

He wasn't through insulting Detroit before the Detroit Economic Club.

Again The Guardian, "He later returned to the theme, warning of an economic disaster if his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, wins in November’s election.

“Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands,” Trump said.

No wonder Trump is ignored by his followers. He is not only stupid. He is an embarrassment.

Trump is traveling the country, making friends everywhere.

From a political standpoint, Trump practically owns Ohio. He had this to say about Springfield, Ohio. He said their town has been overrun by Haitians. “They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” the former President said.

Next, he traveled to Detroit to make friends there. Speaking before the Detroit Economic Club, he told Detroit's business leaders, “Well, we’re a developing nation too, just take a look at Detroit. Detroit’s a developing area more than most places in China. Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands.”

Trump wanted to maintain his friendship with Vladimir Putin. so, in 2020, President Donald Trump secretly sent coveted tests for coronavirus to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his personal use.

Trump recently traveled to Aurora, Colorado, to greet friends there. He likened the Denver suburb to a “war zone,” amplifying his claims that a Venezuelan gang has taken over apartment buildings in the city. “Our criminals are like babies compared to these people. These criminals are the most violent people on earth. Kamala has imported an army of illegal alien gang members and migrant criminals from the dungeons of the third world,” said Trump. “And she has had them resettled, beautifully, into your community to prey upon innocent American citizens, that’s what they’re doing. And no place is it more evident than right here.”

From a political standpoint, Trump practically owns southeastern U.S. Trump decided to give his friends there some friendly advice. He told his desperate friends -- many with homes destroyed and jobless -- that FEMA was broke. “Kamala spent all her FEMA money, billions of dollars, on housing for illegal migrants, many of whom should not be in our country. With all the friends he is making, Trump is sure to win this election.

Why is it that Republicans refuse to discuss what Trump is doing and saying?

The fact is, on a multiple of threads and countless attempts, Republicans refuse to discuss what Trump is doing and saying.

Is it because, they are voting for Trump even though they are embarrassed for doing so?

There is a reason why a person is ashamed by what they are doing. Embarrassment is one of them. Lack of a good reason for what a person is doing is another.

Israel is planning to neutralize Hezbollah as threat first while keeping the lid on Hamas.

Then comes Iran.

CNN reports, "Iran’s government is extremely nervous and has been engaging in urgent diplomatic efforts with countries in the Middle East to gauge whether they can reduce the scale of Israel’s response to its missile attack earlier this month and – if that fails – help protect Tehran, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

"Iran’s anxiety stems from uncertainty about whether the US can convince Israel not to strike Iranian nuclear sites and oil facilities, and the fact that its most important proxy militia in the region, Hezbollah, has been significantly weakened by Israeli military operations in recent weeks, the sources said.

"The US has been consulting with Israel on how it plans to respond to Iran’s October 1 attack, and US officials have made clear they do not want Israel to target Iranian nuclear sites or oil fields. US President Joe Biden spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, their first conversation in almost two months, telling him Israel’s retaliation should be “proportional.”

The result, for the most part, is Republican voters have gone postal. They are so naive they can't even defend themselves. There is not one thread by a Republican concerning Trump or the GOP

"The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, known as THAAD, usually requires about 100 troops to operate, and has six truck-mounted launchers, with eight interceptors on each launcher, as well as a powerful radar. It is capable of intercepting ballistic missiles at ranges of 100 to 125 miles."

Rep. Adam Schiff led the prosecution in Trump's first impeachment. The convicted felon facing two criminal trials was impeached twice, exonerated by Senate Republicans both times. Currently, he is being exonerated by the Supreme Court. Is the Supreme Court siding with the former President?

Trump wants to even the score with Schiff.

The Guardian reports, "Donald Trump called for the US armed forces to be turned against his political adversaries when voters go to the polls at next month’s presidential election.

"In comments that added further fuel to fears of an authoritarian crackdown if he recaptures the White House, the Republican nominee said the military or national guard should be deployed against opponents that he called “the enemy within” when the election takes place on 5 November.

"He singled out the California congressman, Adam Schiff, who was the lead prosecutor in the ex-president’s first impeachment trial, as posing a bigger threat to a free and fair election than foreign terrorists or illegal immigrants, his usual prime target for abuse.

"He suggested that the US constitution should be terminated to overturn the 2020 election result, which he falsely claims was stolen by Joe Biden.

“I think the bigger problem are the people from within. The thing that’s tougher to handle are these lunatics that we have inside, like Adam Schiff. We have some very bad people. We have some sick people,” Trump said.

“It should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by the national guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen,” Trump.

This is the man Republicans want as our President!

Republicans in Congress have not said a word about their Presidential candidate in months. For those facing re-election, Trump is at the top of their ticket.

As is their custom, the forum's Republicans will not respond.

It is strange that Republicans are totally silent when it comes to what their Presidential candidate is saying and doing.

This is so wrong!

Axios reports, "Israel is highly dependent on U.S. military aid as it fights a war on several fronts and has been under intense scrutiny as warnings emerge again about the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza.

"The Biden administration sent a letter to Israeli leaders on Monday demanding Israel take steps within 30 days to improve the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza or risk the supply of U.S. weapons to Israel being affected, according to a copy of the letter obtained by Axios."

Bad decision, very bad.

Hamas started this war with a murder raid in Israel on Oct. 7 last year, killing over 1200 Israelis and seizing over 130 hostages. Hamas terrorists hide within the civilian population in Gaza, schools, hospitals, stores, homes, etc., making the death toll of civilians horrific. In most cases, Hamas provides the casualty reports to the media.

To make matters worse, Hezbollah jumped in, siding with Hamas, attacking Israel on Oct. 8 and causing a high death toll on civilians in Lebanon.

Clearly, Hamas and Hezbollah are the enemy. As such, the enemy is responsible for the death toll among civilians. Israel is defending itself. Surrounded by the enemy, she is fighting for her survival. We are helping Israel's fight for survival.

Put a different way, while Hamas and Hezbollah are the enemy, Israel is a U.S. ally.

Why is our government making demands on an ally? Why are we not making demands on the enemy? Such as, lay down your arms or face the consequences.

But we are not doing that. We are making demands on our ally in a do this or else sense.

In a democracy, voting is made easy to encourage the people to vote. Republicans are trying to make voting difficult to discourage voting. Want proof? Find out what the Republicans are doing.

Facing defeat, Republicans are doing all they can to disrupt the coming elections in the battleground states. Most likely, Republicans will cause days of delays in providing election results in key states.

On such key state is Georgia.

NBC reports, "County election boards in Georgia are not allowed to refuse to certify election results, a state judge ruled on Tuesday.

"Concerns of fraud or abuse are to be settled in court, the judge said, not by [Republican] county officials acting unilaterally.

“If election superintendents were, as Plaintiff urges, free to play investigator, prosecutor, jury, and judge and so -- because of a unilateral determination of error or fraud -- refuse to certify election results, Georgia voters would be silenced. Our Constitution and our Election Code do not allow for that to happen,” Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney said in his order.

In the wake of the 2020 election, former President Donald Trump and his allies pressured county officials to block the certification of his loss.

"McBurney said the law was clear when it says that county officials "shall" certify the results. In the footnotes, he said the word was quite clear."

Silent Trump Republican voters love the chaos their party is creating. The educationally challenged low propensity voters want to bring the country down to their level.

Trump is not well. Perhaps there is a reason why he is reluctant to submit to a fitness report.

For silent Trump Republicans, this is not a problem. It is a blessing. They would welcome the chaos created by an unfit President. Educationally challenged, low propensity Trump Republicans want to bring the country down to their level.

There are signs they may get their wish.

Trump does not want to be questioned by people who are not enthralled by his presence. He refuses a second debate with Harris. He even refused to attend a town hall meeting with Harris.

He continues this pattern. He only wants questions from people who will allow him to lie without interruption.

NBC reports, "Donald Trump’s campaign wants its candidate to talk more about policy, but on Monday night it was all about the music.

"Trump was in Oaks, Pennsylvania, to host the type of town hall event his advisers hope will keep the former president on track talking both about his policy positions and those of his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. But the evening quickly took a bizarre turn after two rallygoers had medical issues.

"Rather than continue after paramedics assisted the two people, Trump instructed his staff to just play music from a playlist he has personally curated and famously often turns on during dinners at Mar-a-Lago.

“Who the hell wants to hear questions?” Trump said at the event where the entire point was to take audience questions. “Right?”

The video is bizarre, forcing one to ask, "This guy is running for President?"

That's not all. CNN reports, "Donald Trump has backed out of an interview with CNBC, marking the second time this month the former president has canceled on a mainstream press interview."

Republicans in Georgia created an enormously stupid law, probably knowing it was so ridiculous it would never see the light of day. The foolish law assumed a hand count of ballots by weary election officials at the end of Election Day was more accurate than a computer count.

Actually, fearing loses, Republicans are trying to create delays in certification. Trump's fans think this is a great idea. We know this because they don't say anything.

The BBC reports, "A judge in the US state of Georgia has blocked an order for ballots in November's presidential election to be counted by hand.

"Judge Robert McBurney ruled poll workers would not have received adequate training to handle millions of ballots, adding that the last-minute change would have led to "administrative chaos".

"The hand count mandate was passed by the pro-Trump majority on the Georgia election board last month, and Tuesday's ruling was welcomed by Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

"Around five million votes for president were cast in Georgia that year, with Democrat Joe Biden winning the state by just under 12,000.

"Trump refused to accept the result. He is currently fighting criminal charges that he unlawfully trying to change the outcome.

"A phone call recording has him telling Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find 11,780 votes".

"Some of the world’s wealthiest figures – led by conservative donor Miriam Adelson and tech billionaire Elon Musk – have funneled tens of millions of dollars into political groups in recent months to boost Donald Trump’s White House bid," CNN.

This begs a question. If Trump wins, who will be in charge?

Trump? Of course not. He doesn't have the intelligence or the experience. Besides, it has become clear in the past several weeks, he is not all there. Is he suffering from a mental breakdown? What kind of a fool declares Haitian immigrants are eating dogs and cats, and that member of Congress, Schiff and Pelosi, political opponents, are the "enemy within."

Trump's followers are with me on this. They will not disagree.

Someone in Congress in charge? Who? No one stands out.

A leader in the military? The chairman of the Joint Chiefs? Not very likely.

The people who will run this country if Trump wins will be unknown. A secret cabal of the richest people in the country will be in charge. We will not know their names.

Why do you think Elon Musk is trying so hard to get Trump elected? He likes Trump's policies?

Trump doesn't have any policies.

All this is fine with Trump's fans. They don' know what is going on, anyway.

Republicans argue that the President is responsible for the individual's economic well-being. That is wrong. Americans are responsible for their economic well-being.

The Republican candidates for President and vice-president both deny the results of the 2020 election. Both want to disenfranchise Americans in 2020.

Asked if there had been phone calls between he an Putin, Trump said, “I don’t comment on that, But I will tell you that if I did, it’s a smart thing. If I’m friendly with people, if I can have a relationship with people, that’s a good thing and not a bad thing in terms of a country.”

Trump thinks it is good idea for a political candidate to interfere in foreign relations.

, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in a southern suburb of Beirut in late September.

Now the Hamas leader, responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 Gazans, has been killed by Israel. Muslim terrorists are suicidal. Thousands have been killed in a war they started. Israeli casualties have been minimal.

The Times reports, "Yahya Sinwar, the Palestinian militant leader who emerged from two decades of prison in Israel to rise to the helm of Hamas and help plot the deadliest assault on Israel in its history, died on Wednesday. He was in his early 60s.

"His death was announced by the Israeli military on Thursday, which said he had been killed by a unit of trainee squad commanders who encountered him while on an operation in southern Gaza.

"A longtime Hamas leader who assumed its top political office in August, Mr. Sinwar was known among supporters and enemies alike for combining cunning and brutality. He built Hamas’s ability to harm Israel in service of the group’s long-term goal of destroying the Jewish state and building an Islamist, Palestinian nation in its place.

"He played a central role in planning the surprise assault on southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, that killed about 1,200 people, brought 250 others back to Gaza as hostages and put him at the top of Israel’s kill list. Israeli leaders vowed to hunt him down, and the military dropped fliers over Gaza offering a $400,000 reward for information on his whereabouts."

Trump has hammered Harris on the economy, associating her with the Biden administration's economic woes.

Most Americans believe Trump. They think he can handle the economy better than a Democratic President.

That presumption is false and Trump is lying about the economy!

Most American are clueless on the American economy.

Many base their judgement on their own inability to take advantage of a vibrant economy.

Within 36 hours, six people died: one was shot by Capitol Police, another died of a drug overdose, three died of natural causes, and a police officer died after being assaulted by rioters. Many people were injured, including 174 police officers.

Questions have been asked about former President Trump’s comments at a Univision town hall Wednesday in which he called the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol a “day of love.”

A voter named Ramiro González raised concerns about Trump’s inaction on Jan. 6, his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the criticism of him by some of his former administration officials. González told the former president he was giving him a chance to win back his vote.

Trump replied, “Some of those people went down to the Capitol peacefully and patriotically. Nothing done wrong at all. Nothing done wrong. Action was taken. Strong action. Ashli Babbitt was killed,” he said, referring to one individual who was killed after entering the Capitol. “Nobody was killed. There were no guns down there. We didn’t have guns. The others had guns, but we didn’t have guns. … But that was a day of love.”

Trump constantly creates his own reality. His silent low propensity fans don't know any better. So, they believe every word.

Maybe Trump thinks he is being funny, unaware that he just sounds like an idiot, and his followers are unable to defend him.
