A reasonable explanation...

I got rods, screws all over my body and a bone graft in my left femur.

I have the same in my right femur. Rod from hip to knee with two countersunk screws at the hip and two at the knee.

It has never bothered me at all in the past 14 years until recently. For some reason, it has started aching when the weather changes.

I think that with a world population of over 6.7 billion and rising and, 300+ million just in the US I really don't think that survival of the human species or the US is even a question anymore. I find it funny that people always bring up the "survival of the species" when we have this many people on Earth. The human species has survived when there were FAR FAR less people than there currently is.

And it doesn't matter weather you support step-parent families or not. They are a reality and have rights also.

The globe is not over populated...

...so your argument is false.

My knee is pretty bashed up too. Sometimes it just won't move and slips. It was swollen for about 18 mnths after the motorcycle wreck.

I got mine in a car accident. Sometimes I can feel some pain in my knee, especially since I am getting older. Most of the discomfort is just around where the actual break in the femur was and even it is minor.

Where did I say that the world was "over populated"? I did say that humans have survived with FAR less people though. If I remember correctly at one point in human history we were reduced to somewhere around 3,000-10,000 people on the entire Earth. Can't remember the exact number. With 6.7 billion I really don't think that 10% of the population being homosexuals are going to destroy humanity.

The only time I ever needed any surgery was to reconnect some nerves from getting a 3 and 1/2 inch nail shot through my hand. (I pulled the nail out with my teeth and finally went to a doctor over it about 2 months after the fact because my fingers were still numb and my skin was all dryed out to hell and gone.)

The population in France is actually decreasing. The government is offering monetary incentives for couples to have more kids.

If they would rather die, they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.

Umm France doesn't allow Gay marriage last I heard. So obviously gay marriage is not a factor as to why their population is dropping. Like to try again?
