A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Apply for a Student Loan

If you believe in wealth caps and wage minimums, you are not a free marketeer. Besides, capitalism and the free market are one and the same.

They are not the same, in the free market the only thing that has value is goods and services. In Capitalism usury and ownership has value. Big difference. If we eliminated usury completely (interest of any kind) we would return to a true free market and wealth minimums and maximums would not be an issue. It is impossible to become excessively rich on your labor alone.

Capitalism is a system where everyone is free to use their private property however they wish without outside interference. It's also a free market system because it allows everyone the freedom to choose their own jobs, the freedom to sell their products and services at whatever price they choose, and the freedom to choose products and services based on the best value.

Many people who criticize capitalism fear freedom. They are afraid of what may happen if the people are allowed to run their own economic affairs and letting an unregulated market do its thing. Basically, they believe faceless bureaucrats and regulators, using the threat of force, know better than private citizens making their own decisions voluntarily.

It is socialism if the lender is willing to forgive a loan if that individual goes into the public sector.......

That's the weirdest definition of socialism I've heard on these forums yet. And that's saying a lot.
