The situations are quite similar. The only real difference is one accusation is directed at a then powerful senator and the other was against a high school kid at a time, place and date the accuser couldn’t remember.

No the situations aren't. Presidential candidate vs SC nominee. One occurring during a pandemic, the other not. One faces only the 100 Senators to approve them, the other matches up against the sitting President to have voters approve of one, the other, or (unlikely, but still possible) someone else on the ballot.

The standard is looking at the evidence being provided, statements given by the accuser, the accused, and witnesses. The mothers call actually works to bring more doubt to her story of sexual assault. The inconsistencies, the story changes, the attitude changes all work against her. There are certainly things against him. The other complaints (although these support her initial allegation far better). The friends that say she told them (although that is in no way a smoking gun, since they weren't witnesses, just provide hearsay, much like Fords husband and therapist).

Because I’m sure Biden is praying for an fbi investigation as there is not a boat load of evidence the week after a sexual assault, let alone a decade plus..

So guilt or innocence is irrelevant... ain’t but one out come coming from an fbi investigation into decades old sexual assault allegations..

They can’t find anything and the accused claims that as vindication..

PS I am not saying Kavanagh was guilty, just that you could pick the most guilty person ever and the fbi still won’t find anything resembling enough to charge them...

No charges means the accused gets to claim vindication..

It really isn't the calling in so much as the attitude of the mother during that call. There is no way my mother would have been so calm if she was calling to ask what she or I could do about a legitimate sexual assault incident. And to say so calmly that her daughter respected her boss? It is ridiculous. I could see her saying feared him or even saying sarcastically or angrily "respects" him. But that was just calm.

and just for the record I do not think they should cover questionable allegations at all.. if charges are not being pressed. Then tough titty..

This will actually sap Biden's support. Our parties are not ideological churches so much as chambers of commerce for political factions. If your faction is motivated by women's issues, then this harms you politically. If Biden is the nominee, Tara Reade will be raised every time women's issues are on the table.

Biden denies the incident and there is no proof of anything. Trump has over 2 dozen women claiming sexual assault and what is amazing about Biden is that in all his years in politics Tara is the only one. This alone makes her claims dubious. Biden has no history of this behavior and that just does not jive with what we know about abusers of women.
