70.5 percent of federal spending goes to dependency creating programs

Having more support from voters also helps.

The fact that some GOPers don't even know what a 'social issue' is has a lot to do with that fact.

"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.

All issues are social issues, are they not?

The .
YHou forget there are more elections than Presidential elections- Congress Senate, overnors, state legislatures- and the GOP is doing quite well in those. Remember, we are a mere THREE years away from the Democrats taking the worst political shleecaking in our nation's history. 2014 won't be quite so bad for the Democrats but they gaining any ground either..

No.

All issues are not social issues.

Psttt- you forgot to say which ones aren't . And when you do, please explain how said issues have no effect on society.

By voters do you mean dependents?

LOL- hold your tongue!! Why, what most voters do is some deep soul searching and cast their vote for the candidate that is the best for the country!!

What Democrats do on a national level is a tried and true method that has been used effectively by Big city Democrat mayors for decades.

No, I didn't forget anything.

Wait (Not long.) and see what massive demographic change does to the GOP.

I really don't have the time to waste educating you.

Try doing a little reading.

And you have a nice day, hear?

It was a simple question. I don't have a dog in this hunt but I for one would like to hear an answer. Can you back up your claim or not?

Empty words until you prove me wrong.

YOU made the claim. You either back it up or not. I have nothing to prove, and I'm most definitely not going to play mindless word-games.

I don't play word-games.

I am a guy who lives a reality-based life.

Massive demographic change in the USA is one of those realities.

The refusal of those on the right to accept what that will do to the GOP is another reality.

In any case, it's happening now, and it will change the GOP.

If you or others don't think so, that's your problem, not mine, won't change my life, won't cost me a nickel.

No one on this planet, certainly not the GOP, can stop the massive demographic change that will eventually destroy the GOP like a tidal wave.

Wait (Not long.) and see

Have a nice day and a wonderful, joy-filled life.

Yes we know the massive demographic change from providers to dependents will mean the end of the GOP.
The Democrats will win the popularity contest. Free stuff is always popular.

You might want to re-think that "it won't cost me a nickle" thing, unless you yourself are dependent.

Your tangential little diatribe totally ignored the claim, YOUR claim. I'll repeat it for you. You said, and I quote: "All issues are not social issues." When asked, you made no attempt to illustrate even ONE example of a issue that was not a social issue. Instead, you say "I really don't have the time to waste educating you". Funny you seem to have more than enough time to avoid the question and run off on a tangent. Since you refuse to prove, or even attempt to prove, your claim, every claim you make, by default, is suspect.

And I have nothing further to say on the matter...

Horse manure, When Obama took office we were $10T in debt we are $17T in debt now and will be $20T by the time he leaves office, the excuse that the debt was created by the previous administration is rubbish, the Obama administration did not have to spend a deficit they chose to. Obama could have stepped into office repealed and cut all TARP and Stimulus, slashed military spending and recalled all the troops and eliminated as many departments as necessary to balance the budget. Not saying that would be good or bad just saying he could have, so blaming the previous administration is simply put, a crock.

Of course, as a savvy political observer, you realize that there is a spending and revenue infrastructure that is establish, usually well before a President takes office. When the previous administration was running deficits of $600B, then the economy craters dropping revenue by $400B and increasing unemployment benefits by $125B (for those slower in math, creating a running deficit of $1.1T, pre-stimulus) AND total government discretionary spending is about $1.3T, there is no way a president can just balance a budget. He is going to run deficits for a reasonable period until the economy is stabilized. No one running for major office in 2012 advocated that the budget could be balanced in less than 5 years. The Ryan 2012 proposed budget did not offer balance until 2063 (51 years from now).

Reason Foundation - Paul Ryan's Budget Plan: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

His revised, aggressive, best-case budget took 10-years to reach balance.

Paul Ryan's Plan to Balance the Budget in Ten Years Relies on...Obamacare? - Forbes

Only the seriously naive believe the budget can be balanced in short-order. Sorry, but the last guy started with a balanced budget and left an incredible mess. He should be shot.
