Well, abortion opponents want babies to be born, so it logically follows that it is the abortion opponents who should be made to pay for that --and pay for the prenatal care, and pay all the child-raising costs, too. Some few are actually willing to put their money where their mouths are; the rest are just hypocrites, unwilling to put their money where their mouths are.
In the long run, though, it can't work, even if all abortion opponents were legally required to pay for what they want, to prevent abortions.
