That’s a really good guess, but it’s not exactly the same. The Queen lyric to that zany “Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon” goes, “I’m just an ordinary guy.”

However, you bring up a great point. For the sake of being transparent, my song lyric is different in the two times it’s sung in the chorus. The first time, it goes, “Or just an ordinary guy” while the second time it’s “And just an ordinary guy.” There are the clues…

Sure, absolutely. There are so many song lyrics that completely stump me, that I like that kind of game.

No, not by Fee Waybill and The Tubes. Good band, though.

I’m going to give you a clue to help with the “band,” because it’s only fair. There’s one main artist group that consists of a static duo, with other musicians filling in as the band members, and it’s not Hall & Oates. That should get you the group.

Yes, the song is by Steely Dan! Well done. I was actually listening to this particular song when I guessed “Locomotion” and posted it. It’s always been one of my favorite tunes, with the back story on the lyrics by Donald Fagen being particularly interesting.

It’s a song very rarely played live.
 

Getting the group was pretty easy, with your clues. And I had thought of them yesterday, anyway, with your 'unique' comment. The song however.....
