400th Execution in Texas

That's 400 less scumbags breathing the same air as decent people. Can we up that by an order of magnitude and go for 4000 dead scumbags?

And the connection here is where?
LOL. all children have parents. and "Texas ranks worst in teen birth rates." so those children are going to grow up in what kind of circumstances? probably less than ideal, eh? and Texas again does what? oh, right, I almost forgot: "Texas leads the country in the number of executions performed." hmmm, now why is that? could it be, um, because, I don't know, .... uh, ... because Texas produces more problem people?

also, Texas ranks nationwide in:

Percentage of Uninsured Children: 1st

Income Inequality Between the Rich and the Poor: 2nd

Percentage of Population without Health Insurance: 1st

Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) Scores: 47th

Percentage of Population over 25 with a High School Diploma: 50th

Percentage of Non-Elderly Women with Health Insurance: 50th

Rate of Women Aged 40+ Who Receive Mammograms: 44th

Rate of Women Aged 18+ Who Receive Pap Smears: 47th

Tax expenditures per capita: 50th

btw, there's more, much much more.

.... AND Texas leads the nation in executions.

nothing to be proud of, obviously. Texas is arguably the worst state in the country.

Bring your *** down here and say that and you will be #401

I've heard it before. the last time was when I told some chick she had just run a stop sign. when one's position is indefensible, all that's left are physical threats.

And who are these other 3600 scumbags that you want to see put away?

California prisons are full of them, can we ship a couple hundred to Texas? At least the ******* liberals won't whine about how horrible it is to be put to death there.

If we'd close the boarders, toss out the illegals and issue "Rio Grande Hunting Passes" Most of those numbers would change drastically.

I do think Texans and knuckle dragging sister ****ers, but to be fair alot of their poor statistics are because of their truly huge immigrant populations, not their government policies. that's probably the source of the uninsured rates, the income disparity, etc.

I'm sure if you looked at New York in 1900 there would have been similar statistics. The Texan economy has been booming, Houston and Dallas as we know them today have been essentially built since 1950.

It begs the question, however, how many of those 400 might have been innocent?

Or another question, with these executions is the crime/homicide rate lower in Texas than states that do not have so many executions?

I thought it was "innocent until proven guilty" not "innocent even after one is found guilty".

so you'd kill a man for talking ill of Texas... interesting.

Yeah, good catch, that's EXACTLY what I would do. In fact I travel to parts of the country where I am told somone said a bad word about Texas and I kill them. I build alot of frequent flyer miles that way.

New peopple are born everyday that will grow and mature andcommit murder and will be executed in the future.

:2party: :bravo: :applaud Another scumbag bites the dust.

You're celebrating because someone killed another person (I think), and was then killed himself?

Where's the happy part? All I see is two deaths.

There's this little concept called "justice". Maybe you should try looking it up.

Sure, but many sentences are overturned when new evidence comes to life. There's been plenty of times when new evidence, such as DNA evidence, or a confession by the real killer, goes on to exonerate and clear the name of a convict, who is then let free. Let's face it, our justice system isn't always perfect. If you jail a person for life, and new evidence comes up, you can release them. If you kill a person, then new evidence comes up, you can't exactly un-kill them.
