3 Massachusetts school staff placed on leave over Charlie Kirk social media posts, superintendents say

Sorry, I don't want to live in your authoritarian Mecca.
What does that even mean? Besides, the teachers being disciplined are in Massachusetts. That would be your authoritarian Mecca, not mine.

OMG! Yes, let's keep silent and let an ass like Charlie Kirk be canonized by the right because an idiot shot him.

The irony with that (bolded above) is amazing. Why don’t you like and wish to protect the ‘free speech’ by those on the right?

Your opinion is irrelevant to the employer.
I don't know. I've always been very opinionated. I had an opinionated letter published in the NYT. I've been posting my opinionated opinions since 2000. No employer ever gave a crap.

She said. May you never find rest and always suffer in eternity, Charlie Kirk. That's Karma?

I'm good with that. It doesn't advocate violence. It doesn't excuse the shooter. Sounds very much like a religious thing.
It's simply a rather strong opinion. There is one obvious reason for all these firings. The employers are scared of political backlash from the right. Our whole environment has become one of fear. Engineered by Trump and his cronies.

So, in your opinion, anyone of any profession should be able to say anything they want except for wanting to kill or harm people.

For example, if an 8th grade teacher had a student die in his class and he posted on Facebook "Good riddance. What a shithead." He should be immediately fired. Right?

Have they been fired? I think they were placed on leave. If it's paid leave, they might not even fight it.

OR they don't want people who obviously feel nothing but hate towards people on the opposite aisle working for them. 🤷

I'm done with your strawmen.

Yes, that teacher should be fired. For one, it's really bad grammar.

Maybe they're just following our president's countless examples of hate speech. He is a role model, correct?

We do. We want ours protected also. When I say Charlie Kirk was a low life, I don't want to be threatened with my job or much worse. Which is happening all across America clearly by the right.

When it comes to the Kirk assassination (a school shooting) there are only two sides: being for it (aka condoning the violence) or being against it.
How about, "I don't condone violence. The murderer should be imprisoned. But Charlie Kirk was a divisive jerk."

Is that okay? Because that's my point.

The option exists to simply say nothing about a given homicide on social media.
Yep.

And that is the wisest move.

Everyone should keep their social media accounts locked down and private.

And teach your kids to do the same.

If you are in the workplace, keep your colleagues OFF your social media. They’re your colleagues, not your friends.

Then explain exactly what your policy would be on public and social media accounts if you were an employer.
I have been an employer and whatever opinions my employees may or may not have expressed remain a mystery to me because I didn't care.
Why should that teacher be fired?
The morals clause. I don't have a problem with a morals clause. But we're not talking about that teacher. And that imaginary teacher has nothing to do with it.

You clearly didnt read the OP. The teachers being disciplined live in Massachusetts, not Mississippi
