2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread[W:191]

Re: 2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread

The reason the unemployment rate for Romney was so low was because nearly a quarter of a million people left the state under him.

Better tell that to the Bureau of Labor Statistics because they disagree with you. Labor force grew under Romney and the unemployment rate dropped. Better get some new talking points.

Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

Your stats do not contradict what he stated.

Not so fast, what's your source?

How does one judge results without facts and reason?

Very simple question, was the plant open after Obama took office, yes or no? Didn't Obama take over GM prior to the plant closing?

Uh, yes they do, the labor force when Romney got the unemployment rate to under 5% was higher than it was when he took office. Chart reading is an interesting concept, then the line is pointed to the right and up and that is a gain on BLS charts.

You can even see the data as you go lower on the charts and see what the labor force was on January 1, 2003 and then on December 31, 2006. Get back with me when you actually have a fact to post

Higher than when he took office does not mean people did not leave, just that more entered the workforce than left the state.

Re: 2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread

So the plant wasn't open after Obama took office? Didn't take you long to attach yourself to the DNC talking points. Guess that means you will vote for anyone with a "D" after their name
in this election, i will most certainly vote democratic, republicans have done nothing to earn my vote...

Does it show a quarter of million citizens leaving MA? Where is the link to that data for 2006

Of course you will because results don't matter to you and never will. You see apparently in your business results don't matter so rhetoric is much more important. Keep voting for those D's and keep ignoring my bet that I have voted for more Democrats than you have ever voted for Republicans even though neither of us can prove it.

Your source does not show people leaving or entering the state either way. That is why it does not contradict his claim.

You willingly buy the statement that a quarter of a million people moved out of the state without documentation or any verifiable link as you ignore verifiable data showing the labor force higher in 2006 than 2003 when he took office. Shouldn't there be a reduction in labor force if 250,000 people left the labor force?

Re: 2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread

Since Conservative isn't getting Reddress's point, I'll help him out...

The reason the unemployment rate for Romney was so low was because nearly a quarter of a million people left the state under him.

Could you please provide a link to factual data backing up your claim if any of us are to take it seriously?

Where did I say his claim was true? I said you did not contradict his claim. Your charts where totally and entirely irrelevant to his claim. You failed to counter him. Are you following now? Don't try and put words in my moth or claim I said something I did not.

Re: 2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread

There are very good reasons why liberals are squirming. Hope and Change are gone and what they're left with is a clearly failed administration and president. As Ryan observed, they are trying to sail on yesterday's wind.

You are absolutely correct, I forgot who I was communicating with and how specific one has to be in questioning someone you you want to believe. I did not refute what the posted stated only provided actual data that makes the statement questionable at best.

Do you honestly expect for people to be that simple? or perhaps you are that simple yourself.

Anyone with a computer, internet connection and the ability to type can partake. This is one of the few drawbacks of the internet.

Keep buying the Obama spin while ignoring 23 million unemployed/under employed people today, 2012, according to bls.

No, it did not make it questionable, it did not address in any way what he claimed.

Right, only a liberal can believe a quarter of million people leaving the state caused the unemployment rate to drop. Do you or the other poster have any idea how the unemployment rate is calculated? If so then show it and then tell me what affect a rising labor force has on that unemployment rate?

Apparently you do not understand how the unemployment rate works. If there are fewer people seeking the same number of jobs, then yes, the unemployment rate will drop. Further, people leaving the state can have a positive or negative effect on the state economy, depending on a vast number of factors.

Only ones squirming at the moment are the GOP. With the way the economy is supposedly in.. the GOP and Romney should be wayyyyyyy ahead of Obama, but he is not. He is at best even and in fact loosing if you look at it state by state..

And the Dems dont have to do much since the GOP has a nack of shooting themselves in the foot while it is up their own ass.... /wave Todd Akin.

Romney is way ahead of Obama, do you think someone is undecided today after four years of Obama. History show they break big time for the challenger and after tonight Romney's lead will become public.

Looking forward to the "freak show" next week. How many current Democrat Governors will be speaking and giving a testimonial to Obamanomics?

Are you that desperate? Okay show men the polls that prove your point..... Show me where Romney is ahead in states like Ohio, Florida, states that he NEEDS to win to even stand a chance. Even Gallup daily tracking and Rasmussen daily tracking have Obama overall ahead.

Oh let me guess you gonna blame the liberal media and liberal polling companies right?

Look.. Romney is loosing the Black vote, Hispanic vote, and even the women vote.. how on earth can you claim that he is way ahead?
