2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread[W:191]

Re: 2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread

John McCain is talking about the Keynesian economics of military spending. Our Navy is so big you could fit the next 7 biggest navies inside our navy.

John McCain is complaining that we haven't spent enough money deploying our military everywhere in the world where someone is oppressing someone else.

Christ, if America is the 'best hope of mankind' then we are ****ed.

McCain thinks America should intervene in Syria and go to war on Iran and God knows who else. Who does he think is going to pay for it? Condi Rice is on now and from a recent interview I heard her spew the same thing.....more war, war, war. Now I see why the GOP wanted to marginalize the grassroots and Ron Paul delegates.

Dems told us if we voted for McCain and Palin we'd be still in a war four years later and the deficit would blow up

They were right-I voted for McCain and we are still in a war and the deficit is sky high

Re: A proud moment for the supporters of White America

They are Paul supporters. They are terrifying on a number of levels.
I've been reading some of the right wing tweets and they're saying some the delegates were told to yell USA whenever the Ron Paul delegates started shouting their opposition.

It's funny how Republicans want to be fiscally responsible but also want go to war all around the globe, negotiate more free trade deals, and pay for kids to be educated in school districts they don't live in. Rice gave a good speech, but she sounded like a Secretary of State. They don't have to contend with deficits and budgets.

only people clueless about reality claim tax cuts cost anything

well why didn't obama end the wars and have his minions repeal that expansion and tax cuts when he had a filibuster proof senate and massive numbers in the House

Re: 2012 Republican National Convention, Aug 27-30, Dicussion Thread

Tax cuts lower revenue.

sometimes-but what they clearly do is allow those who earned the money to keep more of it

Ah yes, I recall that-I cannot recall the exact timing.

He was already ill by inauguration. In fact he had a seizure at the luncheon after the inauguration and was taken out by ambulance. That was Jan. 20, 2009.

His first seizure was in May, 2008 which led to doctors finding the brain tumor.
