Agreed its absolutely amazing, that we have things underground all the time with out even knowing it...

I never knew until I saw this, but Manhattan has expanded its landmass over the years. There's probably a ton of cool stuff burried there that used to be underwater. This website has an interactive graphic that shows the changes since 1660.
