1 in 500 US residents has died of COVID.

Get back to us when you're willing to say the exact same of the obese and pass mandates that no one is allowed to be obese.

Whataboutisms are not real arguments.
Obesity cant be 99% solved by a simple vaccine.
If it could, we could have freedom loving willfully stupid people refusing to get that one too. (y)

wait. virus can traverse the Internet?

can COVID and POLIO?
So you can't keep up with the conversation? Social viruses do travel on social media. Where do you think the term "going viral" came from?

it's pretty disgusting.

Disgusting because you, and yours, won't put the effort into where it would do the most good. Heck, you won't even admit it's the real problem.

so, when these viruses traverse the internet are people being vaccinated for them?

Awwww ... so let's just dismiss the real problem with American health.

No point in talking with you - you don't understand the concept of social virus.

disgusting is simply you trying your hardest to divert attention away from the 1 in every 500 people who have died of COVID in the US.

hey, but you do you. it's not like people aren't watching and aren't aware of what you're doing.

i do understand the concept of a guy trying to divert away from the topic of a thread.

it's not like your posts are invisible.

do their lives matter less to you?
Does the underlying pattern we see with those most impacted by COVID matter to you? Or will you continue to spew stats without socializing the patterns on comorbidities?

If you're fat .. old .. unhealthy .. etc .. etc .. etc .. you're at a higher risk of reaction to COVID .. that's the science ..

You still haven't answered my question. Is it a rule that every thread about a health issue has to address every related health issue?

Vaxx and masks are EASIER solutions than your imaginary obesity mandate. That is indisputable.

Awwww ... so let's just dismiss the real problem with American health.

You are downplaying a global pandemic just because we are addressing the pandemic and not other health issues.

It's entirely possible to tackle one problem at a time and since Covid is currently overwhelming hospitals around the nation it just makes sense to deal with that one right now, or no?

You refuse to believe that socially contagious is a real thing. There are biological responses in the body to overeating - so, yeah, it is biological too.
And just where did I state I "refuse to believe" those words of 'yours' you just attributed to 'me'? Post# (s), please. Thanks. 🍿

so those people you just listed, are their lives less important to you? how about the kids who die too, less important?

did you grow up in the church?

While we're talking numbers...

That's assuming each death from COVID was actually attributed to COVID. If some people died at home, I wonder if they were tested after the fact... or is that even possible? I could see the number being even a little higher than that, even 1/450 or 1/400 doesn't seem like a stretch.

That further does not include people dying because hospitals are full and there was no space for them.

It also does not include people dying because they could not get elective cancer screening and catching cancer in time thanks to overwhelmed hospitals.

Okay 1 in 500 died - you act as if I'm denying that, I'm not.

Look at the top 10 causes of death in the United States - obesity is the common factor in most of them. Even Cancer.

If the entire covid vaccine thing is about saving lives why do you not wish to save the lives of the obese and write mandates for them? A very significant portion of those 1 in 500 wouldn't have died had they not been obese. Do their lives not matter to you?

"While we're talking numbers, a new analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation estimates the preventable cost for treating hospitalized, unvaccinated Covid-19 patients was roughly $5.7 billion over the last three months alone."

Stupid. Sometimes dead. And wasting their own money/their healthcare plan's money.

Not the best way to go through life/die.

1 in 500 Americans dead from Covid, 1 in 1 Republicans do not care but claim to be "pro-life."

i know of TWO people (one really close friend and one acquaintance) who both died waiting for treatment for other things (the close friend was a heart issue (young and seemingly healthy)) and he couldn't get in on a weekend. dead by Sunday. it crushed me.

Sorry your scrolling finger is broken.

Sorry your scrolling finger is broken.
So, the 'fact' is you can't present any post(s) in which I stated those words of 'yours' you attributed to 'me.' That is a FAIL on your part. There's a lesson to be learned there. Need I explain what that lesson is?

Very sorry to hear that!

That's why the best estimate (even though not precise) of true deaths from COVID is excess mortality studies. I recall one from back May had put us at over 900,000 deaths. I think CDC had one around 700,000-800,000.
