It's going to be up to the Supreme Court to sort it all out. As far as I am concerned if they come in illegally there is no due process for these people. Why are you siding with the criminals?

One little snag here. If there is no due process to determine that someone came in illegally, how do we know they actually came in illegally?

How do we reign in these "mistakes" and minimize their occurrences because each and every singular "mistake" is a mistake too many regardless of how zealously you, the administrarion, and their loyal lapdogs desire the pursuit of "illegals" to be....

Those are good questions.

A start would be to have a factual look at the events leading up to this. Why was the warrant issued? Why was it a "no-knock" warrant, which ought to be reserved for situations in which a deadly threat to officers is likely? Knowing the answers to these questions, which we don't as far as I know, would be a good start in identifying procedures to prevent these things.

That this happened to apparently innocent citizens is wrong. I'm all for looking for ways to prevent these incidents in the future. But abolishing ICE or not issuing search warrants and the like are unfortunately not sensible preventatives.

As long as search warrants exist, there are going to be occasional mistakes. To prevent them, we need to understand exactly why they happened and tighten up procedures to keep them rare. That tightening has to be based on facts, not people's assumptions about what "obviously" happened.
