‘Transracial’ Rachel Dolezal whines that she can’t get a job

Doesn't matter that the job she did do was to the betterment of blacks exclusively?
Did she better shit? Hell no. She scammed NCAAP and many in the black community. Why would that better the black community? She benefited on scholarships, college applications, and even worse she had zero cultural, racial ties. She didn't grow up in an inner city or anything like shitty public schools. She didn't know what it's like to be black and smart trying to get out of the hood, gangs or anything. So her ideas were flawed, no experience in what it's like to be black.

Her scam was welfare - not her job with the NAACP. She actually worked at NAACP and did the job.

Umm, you don't go to Howard University if you are white, it's so rare and they own up to being white. Not trying to hide it. NAACP gave her a shot cause they thought she was light skinned black. Notice how quickly she was pushed out the door? If NAACP knew she was white, she would have never been invited. Just like a German Protestant wouldn't be invited to join the AIPAC and run a chapter.

If she didn't fake herself black for her spot at EWU, nobody and I mean nobody would have given to flying ****s who she was. So it's a ****ing scam.

Ah, you're an admitted segregationists. Very few do admit it. Can't have someone stepping out of their place.

Because both are wrong. You are born with Y or X chromosome. You are born your race. The fact the left is so dumb they deny this science, as the right denies other parts of science.. only shows how screwed up we are. What happen the days of I have an inny and you have an outty? Only thing you can change is your religion.

Actually everyone is born with at least one X sex chromosome. However, there are several conditions that can mean that even if you have XX sex chromosomes in your body, your body could be male at birth or vice versa. In fact, some are born with both XX and XY chromosome sets.

Just a few conditions that can mean someone is not really genetically how they "appear".

Oh, and these two girls would both technically be considered black.

After watching the Netflix documentary I understood more about Rachel Dolezal and came to feel some sympathy for her.
She was raised by abusive fundamentalists.
Her parents adopted several children from Africa. Rachel later gained custody of one of them after he alleged the parents had been abusive.
She began to identify as black around the time her parents adopted these children (in her teens). If you watch the documentary you can hear more on how she came to identify with African and black-americas culture.

Many people (researchers, profs in the humanities) wanted to explore the similarities between Dolezal, who identifies as black, and people who identify as the opposite sex. This was very unpopular to say the least. One example is the professor of philosophy, Rebecca Tuvell. She wrote a paper titled "In Defense of Transracialism". In it she explored the fact that, while Dolezal was attacked and dismissed, Caitlin Jenner was celebrated and named Women of the Year.
Tuvell was subjected to a witch hunt.

Most African-Americans that didnt immigrate here are racially white as well as black. So mixed race is mixed race. Are we making some % calls there? (It's been tried in the past :() Is it just skin color, cuz that varies even in families? Requiring DNA tests going to be the 'next thing?' Back to the 'one drop rule?'

Which part should we be denying?

Obama certainly doesn't embrace his white "part".

In my world there would be no such "standard" we would all be the human race and everyone would act on their own personal merits - but then I'm not a segregationists either. It's time we should examine this "playing field" and all the failed attempts to "level" it. Start with item number 1: Define exactly what is a level playing field anyway? It seems to be an unattainable moving target.

How dark must your skin be to be considered black?

Outside of skin color, what else could cause you to be classified as black?

I ask because I have a number of people in my family who would create wrinkles in what we designate as black in America. Blue eyes, blonde hair, etc are features one could find on people who would self-classify as black.

If you're asking a republican, there are two answers.

Politicians and media figures must be 100% black or they are called "half black" (Obama, Harris)

People who get shot by police for no apparently reason are "black thugs" and "inner city scum" regardless of how many - if any - black folks they have in their family tree.

Oddly enough, on the other hand, if you hit a leftie FB page, the answer is also 100% black or they are called "half black", despite the fact that nobody posting those things are 100% black (or in some really funny cases, they are 0% black).

Gatekeeping is funny no matter who does it.

If someone who you do not know very well treats you markedly different than they would members of other ethnic groups under similar circumstances (either negatively or positively), then you are probably dark enough to be considered "black".

I didnt imply anyone 'should' embrace something.

Sounds good.

No idea what it is but it shouldnt be affected by skin color. (And yes I chose to write 'skin color' over 'race'.)

Just imagine if every welfare cheat were held to the same standard as she is being held. Except it isn't the welfare fraud that is the problem - it's the trans-racial thing. You never hear anything about the other.

Because there are not millions of welfare cheats. Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (Welfare), is not even that big of a federal outlay. The biggest wealth transfers in this country are actually young to old and from urban to rural areas.

Has she said if she voted for Biden? If not then there is no way she can be considered black

I said no such thing. She's ****ing white. Lied to be black. You know what we call that.. someone being an imposter.

Except she's not even that. She used bronzer.. basically did blackface.

Because they biological have the same parents... imagine that. But this not we are discussing here. We are discussing someone who had two white parents, and put bronzer on her face to be black. How is anyone literally defending a person who did blackface?

I'm not supporting her but I am asking some questions. What're your thoughts?

Do you feel the same way about men who use the women's restroom because they "feel" they are a woman? Are you accepting of transgender people?

I'm not supporting her here. I'm pointing out that people need to stop it with the "but genetics" arguments or "you can't hide being black". Both are far too simple for something as complicated as genetics. Genetics says that people with XX chromosomes can have male genitalia at birth, and those with XY chromosomes can have female genitalia at birth, regardless of how rare it is. And, some people who are genetically black can not only not appear black, some may also even have two white parents.

During Jim Crow and in regards to miscegenation laws, you could have two parents who appeared to be white and still be considered black because it was a percentage of your blood that was the determination, even having a black great grandfather or great grandmother could make that determination.

I'm not saying that this woman has that in her line. I am pointing out that it is not that easy to determine race anymore than it may be to determine sex/gender.

You are born man or woman. What you choose after that is up to the individual. You can't unring that bell
