‘Absurdity to a new level’ as Russia takes charge of UN security council

You're not understanding the essential premise of a justice system.

Maybe I don't, but I know it's more complicating than waving your hands in the air and repeating the phrase "peace process" over and over again.

I do know there is a component of systems of law and justice that require government-sanctioned violence.

Why do we have police? We do we have prisons? Why do we have bailiffs inside courtrooms?

A big part of the reason why we need courts is because sometimes people are super unreasonable. Have you ever seen one of those Judge Judy or Judge Wapner trial shows? Sometimes people argue over the stupidest shit. "What's the big deal? I was just borrowing his car for a few months. What did he need for?" or "I don't understand, why can't I live rent-free in the landlords house without paying him for over a year? What's the big deal? Huh?"

Most people are reasonable. Some people need their heads knocked in, and there's no way to avoid it.

And what would this international justice system do in a situation like we have with Ukraine and Russia? Well, it would attempt to invade Russia, capture Putin, put him on trial, and then send him to prison. Except something like that can't ever happen, because Putin would nuke the entire planet before he would allow himself to be captured by some foreign army.

I cannot disparage your goals, you're just the most impractical person I've ever communicated with.

^ More oversimplification and intellectual dishonesty.

As an American, I see two options:

1) Help Ukraine defend itself
2) Watch Russia conquer Ukraine.

Personally, I prefer 1. Which do you prefer?

American or not, was there only 2 options? There was a 3rd option of a settlement based on Nato's own handling of the Serbia/Kosovo/Bosnia crisis. There was even a Minsk agreement along the lines of Dayton Accords. It turns out Germany and France were not negotiating in good faith.

This war and tragedy was totally avoidable. Neocons avoided a peacefull settlement because it impeded the sought destruction of Russia

I have accurately and succinctly described your response to anyone challenging you on your stupid international justice system idea.

You just can't admit it to yourself that you have no plan.

I prefer not falling into binary traps.

Lol.

Your entire political philosophy is a binary trap of either we remove the U.S. from its position of dominance or the entire human species goes extinct.

It's the greatest binary trap in debatepolitics.com history.

You're really not good at debating.

You're a big fan of the completely unwise and often unethical US international injustice system.

You just can't admit it to yourself that you have no plan.

Chuckle. As if I'm supposed to solve the problems that the jerks of the world create.

I don't agree with the idea that U.S. conduct is always necessarily unwise or unethical, and this certainly isn't the case with our support of Ukraine.

But I am certain that the consequence of the proposals you are advocating would cause the very nuclear war you claim to be trying to prevent.

Chuckle. As if I'm supposed to solve the problems that the jerks of the world create.

I certainly do not expect you to solve this problem, or any other problem. Based on your behavior on this forum I expect you to complain a lot, but not much more.

But this is a debate forum, and you're trying to put forward an idea, and your intent -- I assume -- is to persuade others of the validity of your idea, and all you can really do is muster up enough energy to insult other people and post snide remarks.

I'm not impressed, dude.

You're not understanding the essential premise of a justice system.

Pray tell, why would nations strong enough to make that justice system effective not use it to advance their own interests and shield themselves from consequences?

Do tell.

In the absence of the US, the “injustice system” would just get taken over by the next most dominant nation.

I’m sorry you hate reality, but it exists.

What season of The Real World were you in?

What year was it that your Effective International Justice System (tm) got you a diplomatic victory in Civilization V?

It's your plan. You tell me. How would your international justice system catch and apprehend Putin for his invasion of Ukraine without causing an even greater catastrophe?

He’ll say “it would have prevented the war before it started” without ever explaining how.

You support your claim:
