There are many examples in scripture that those who proclaim the gospel will be persecuted.

2 Timothy 3:12

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

John 15:18

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.

Matthew 5:10

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

1 Peter 4:12-14

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

2 Corinthians 12:10

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Luke 6:22

“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!

Matthew 5:10-12

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

KENNEDY CENTER, WASHINGTON, D.C. — Around 2,000 supporters gathered in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall Sunday night in memory of Charlie Kirk, days after he was assassinated while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. At least 85 members of Congress were in attendance, including Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-LA, as well as other government officials who addressed the audience in honor of Kirk.

Throughout the event, speakers remarked on the motivation that Kirk’s faith played in his work. “Charlie had such faith and such belief and he wanted to share that truth with others. And what he was trying to do is pull people back from the abyss; not just to save a country but to save souls,” Speaker Johnson said.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., Senior Advisor for the U.S. Agency for Global Media Kari Lake, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, R-FL, and Congressman Andy Biggs, R-AZ, all spoke, along with emcee Arizona State Senator Jake Hoffman.

Politics is one thing, but those of faith whether they be Republican or Democrat know what happened to Charlie Kirk was wrong. There's no need for killing someone over their political ideology, let alone celebrating, encouraging, and fostering the atmosphere which enables it. Hopefully the moderates in both parties will look more closely at this and remove themselves more from the radicals and look more towards compromise and cooperation, instead of hatred and division....our future depends upon it, imo.

Funny how the same people praising a political commentator didn't say much about the Minnesota politician as she and her husband and her dog were gunned down by a MAGA.

Whataboutism.

It's just fascinating since it hasn't even been a month since the Minnesota politician was gunned down by a MAGA and a bunch of you guys stayed silent.

And now you're trying to turn a political commentator into a saint.

What did you all do.....keep them in your back pocket till needed. For it to not gain much steam, that came from the left for they are pro's at narrative humping and keeping things front and center. So, now you bring it out to use 'politically'......just more disgusting tactics, imo.

I'm just commenting on the fact that you guys didn't say shit when the MAGA went to the Democratic woman's house and gunned down her, her husband and her dog over politics. Trump didn't even lower the flags.

And now you're trying to turn a talker, who preached hate, into a saint.

I so hope God is watching.

America was at its peak when we halted immigration for 40 years and we dropped our foreign-born percentage to its lowest level ever. We should be unafraid to do that.
– The Charlie Kirk Show, 22 August 2025

Ephesians 2:19-20

19; Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

He’s not a martyr nor a real Christian.
Real Christians would not support a sexual abuser in Trump.

Call him what he is. Charlie Kirk was a white supremacist propagandist. That they are trying to canonize him speaks volumes about what type of "Christians" they are.

Indeed

I so hope God is watching.

I'm an atheist who doesn't believe in heaven or hell, but if Charlie Kirk is in one of the two, he's looking up at us, not down.

And all the people who worship and eulogize him and think THEY'RE going to heaven? I definitely hope for their sake my worldview is correct and not theirs.

Whataboutism.
BULLSHIT. That's fact, very recent, and we have comments from Trump himself saying it would be a waste of time to talk to their governor. Most everyone in MAGA ignored that incident and some made fun of it. How can it possible be a whataboutism when she was an elected politician and Kirk was a nobody.

This republican party (with Trump as the ringleader) is sickening and disgusting before we get to criminal and corrupt.
