It is funny how people's tastes in music vary. That is good IMO. What's funny is that you made a list of bands I dislike. I am sure that is the case for other people and my list as well. Just made me laugh.

Of the bands you listed I only know of Rush, I have no idea about the others

5 is really hard to do.
One is harder to do.......................

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one

Can I include soloists?

Yes
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Fleetwood Mac
Miles Davis
Al DiMeola

Beatles will always be my #1. It gets harder after that. I do love some Three Dog Night, but not everything. Good songs to sing along with though.

I loved the first four albums by Led, particularly Zeppelin 1
After that, something changed, I think they abandoned their rock/blues origins.

They ripped off less artists later on. And those they did they eventually credited.

Current favorites:

Pink Floyd
Alan Parsons
Led Zeppelin Project
Zebra
Jethro Tull

In no particular order:

Pink Floyd
Yes
Led Zeppelin
Rush
Fleetwood Mac

Alabama
Statler Brothers
Oak Ridge Boys
The Highwaymen
The Carter Family

Radiohead
Nine inch nails
Nirvana
Nick Cave & the bad seeds
Kings of Leon (early era)

My top 5:

1. The Beatles
2. Pink Floyd
3. The Allman Brothers
4. The Who
5. Blood Sweat and Tears
1. Led Zeppelin
2. Creedence Clearwater Revival

Few voted for CCR, if I had a top 10 vote they would be in there.
When it comes to quality, nothing beats Led Zeppelin, IMO. But CCR may have more songs that I love than any other rock band. Here are just a few of my faves:
Bad Moon Rising
Born on the Bayou
Cotton Fields
Down on the Corner
Fortunate Son
Midnight Special
Pagan Baby
Rollin’ on the River
Up Around the Bend
Who’ll Stop the Rain
