Your "song of the day/week" thread.....

Another of my iconic musical mentors, bassist Joe Osborn of the Wrecking Crew

Forgot to mention that Joe Osborn discovered the Carpenters, and their first demos were recorded in Joe's garage.

Joe played bass guitar on all 11 of the Carpenters original studio albums. The final 3 Carpenters albums (of 14) were either compilation albums, or albums containing tracks recorded before the death of Karen.

From Clapton's 2004 album dedicated to blues guitarist Robert Johnson (1911-1938) fearturing 14 of his songs.

Kind Hearted Woman Blues - Eric Clapton

Some of the lyrics are hard to listen to and I don't understand many of the references but I like the song now. Don't know if it will have staying power...
