You seem upset about this. Why won't you admit to liking the specifics of teaching safe-sex practices and gender identities?
Nah….I am not ‘upset’. I am not sure why you seem so stressed about MY stance. I stated my opinion, if you are struggle with it, honestly….I don’t care.

By the way you have avoided conversations regarding parental involvement in Sex Ed? Why?

Not stressed at all. :) I'm finding it amusing that you're unwilling to clarify specifics! What are you so afraid of? That you might wind up supporting CSE?

I have given you my stance. I am not afraid of anything. If I didn’t know better I would believe you are attempting to bait me. :ROFLMAO:

You said you were in favor of sex ed, which is like saying that I'm in favor of food. You won't clarify what kind of food. I asked you for two specific examples, and you dodged that for some reason. 🤷‍♂️

Specifics? What is it exactly that you want to know? You keep responding with odd posts.

Post #144 could not have been any clearer. You are choosing to play the la-la-can't-hear-you game so that you won't answer the question directly posted in Post #144.

I am in favor of sex ed, in fact I have taught sex ed. I already mentioned I was involved in a film regarding sex education. It covered many aspects of sex, includin safe sex, gender identification, date rape, birth control, unplanned pregnancy….and many other topics. Honestly, I am not sure what your issue is with me. At this point I find it odd.

What question of yours have I not answered? Be specific?

So you're in favor of all of that? Good! See how easy that was to say? You didn't have to dance all around the issue.

Now why are rightist states and districts not teaching CSE?

I voted the 3rd option. Kids should learn about safe sex and birth control options. Not much else needs to be talked about.

Why?
Prevent teenage pregnancies and reduce the spread of stis.

I am done trying to chase your tail. I have clearly stated my stance. I have not danced around the issues. You have yet to address my response that I believe parents should indeed have some involvement in the course curriculum involving sex education in our public school systems.

No need to get upset when I call out your game-playing, especially when you couldn't answer a simple question despite multiple prompts. And then you arrogantly demand that I address a point of yours.

By the way SCE has part of the sex education curriculum for years in many schools. And I have personally experienced support from most parents. I totally back the support of them signing off on seeing the syllabus and agreeing to it.

I am not upset. I clearly answered every question you asked. Perhaps you struggled with some of my answers but nonetheless I did answer them. And clearly….you have not answered the question I asked. It’s all good. I am rather enjoying this conversation. ;)

I support an approach to education that centers the whole community, not just the parents. When parents get too much power, bad things happen.

That some parents would not want their child learning CSE is weird.

You do not hold yourself to the same standard that you hold others. You want me to address your points while you tap-danced around mine. It took you multiple posts to say enough that could marginally count as an answer. :)

Who gives a shit? Your kids already know everything about it by the time a real class would happen.

What have I not addressed? Be specific? It appears to me that you want everyone to cater to your opinion and when they don’t you attack. I will say it has been fun. I am fairly good at reading people, perhaps my old age has something to do with it. But either way, I am totally finding our conversations fun. Look forward to your future responses. ;)

Critiquing is not the same as "attacking." Be best.

Anyway, I answered your question about parents and sex ed.

I encourage all parents to be open and honest with their teens about sex, and I also encourage parents to be involved in the syllabus of the sex education being taught in their districts. Don’t you agree?

I am open. Go for it? Of course I am more concerned with the modern age.

You can't be concerned with the modern age if you are trying to pick up the responses of people who say we need to go back to how things use to be.

Parental involvement is generally a good thing, but not when parents are trying to aggressively control what their child learns and does. Not all parents have their kids' best interests at heart.

Of course not all parents have their kids best interest at heat, but most do!
