YOur guess on the vote to convict?

I would like to see what others think the vote will be in the Trial of Trump. My guess is that the vote will be 55-45, with just 5 Republican Senators willing to cross the line and vote for conviction. What is your guess?
 
68-32...but I am being more optimistic than reality probably warrants.

Just enough to stop or slow the hemorrhaging of moderate Republicans, but not enough to convict. Good political strategy. I’m watching for the 12 to be mostly in safe seats for the 2022 mid-terms.

With the piss poor case the democrats put on.....it's a no brainer. Only the gullible lemmings will vote to convict and a few RINO's. But I like the reply about the Dominion ballot machine, lol.....now that's funny.
 
I hope everyone has been emailing their senators. Maybe they'll figure out what the real stats are out there.

More like truth, hard work, faith and family....smaller government and soon no more career politicians.
 
I think some of that depends on if tonight's revelations mean we are going to get witnesses. It seems a little harder to defend Trump once you have Republicans on the record saying he was aware of the attack and demonstrating indifference. That is dereliction of duty at best, and openly welcoming harm on fellow Americans at worst.
 
I previously predicted around a 67-33 conviction (or similar ratio with some Republicans not voting). Since then, it's become clear trump has a stronger hold on them than I thought. I'm amazed they don't try to protect their party from being split and continued to be dominated in a hostile takeover by trump by getting rid of him, something McConnell (and today, Haley) seemed to understand.

I still think that's possible, especially if McConnell pushes them, but now that seems around a 10% chance, and it's more likely the vote will be from 56-44 to 60-40. Any increase above 56-44 will be Senators who have to explain why thy voted the trial shouldn't even happen and then voted guilty, which they don't like to do, but the case was compelling so a handful might.
