So you can put anything but the subjects I am covering are games, movies, music. Here are my picks:
Best Game: Tied Portal 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Both of these games offer a very unique and memorable experience. Portal 2 doesn't have the longevity that Skyrim has but it has a great story, incredibly well done design, sound, and music that make the entire package great along with an awesome multiplayer component. Skyrim is a vast world of rich history, incredible landscapes, and you get lost in it for hours.
Best Movie: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
I thought the entire movie start to finish was very captivating. The human actors while not very dimensional the purpose of their roles were bolded quite well and the CGI apes did an incredible job. It has a great underpinning to give reason as to why and how this could ever happen (Planet of the Apes) and it has a lot of great action and touching moments as well
Best Album: Watch the Throne Jay-Z and Kanye West
The entire album is great hip-hop and every single track is a joy to listen to. Be it the catchy rift with Beyonce in "Lift Off", the more dance club feel of "Why I Love You" with Mr. Hudson, hard hitting "H.A.M." or probably the most popular and catchy of all, "Niggas in Paris" there isn't a whole lot not to like about this album.
So what is everyone elses favs?
