The difference is the right wraps itself in Christian imagery and narrative, uses it to justify marginalizing others, all the while supporting an utterly immoral man as he enriches himself and his monied elite pals while sowing chaos and corruption in the nation.

Let's put some perspective in this. Your republicans are only new comers to the game. Christianity has been about telling lies since its conception. It is and always has been a con game. The christian god is no more real than any of the other gods that christians are atheists about. And the republicans are no different from any of the preachers who use a fake god to support their own parasitic existence.
