you have one change only

Our standard of living is declining. Our ability to influence world events is declining. The likelihood we are soon nuked is rising precipitously. Yes, declining GDP, relative to the world is harming us. No, it's not a zero-sum game, but as China and others rise relative to us, it harms us.

You are absolutely full of malinformation. Our mean average standard of living is increasing. Our median standard of living has maintained pretty much even, although the median income earner is now more indebted to the rich than ever and has a lower savings rate.

This is an income distribution issue, nothing more and nothing less.

Now if our leftist policies caused slow growth, those must have ended around the time of the great depression, because our growth since the great depression has been much higher. I'm sorry to have to bust your bubble this way, I know that the truth hurts sometimes. Maybe it's time that you start believing in actual economic history, and let go of santa claus and the tooth fairy and conservative myths.

I don't normally take your views seriously, but this is getting borderline hilarious as hell.

According to retired General McInterny, ISIS stole that missing Malasian plane and has loaded it with some sort of WMD and is going to use it against the US on Thursday. it's not entirely impossible, and certainly worth looking into, but the general is going to look like an idiot if it doesn't happen. He says that we should be at defcon 1.

Anyone not anticipating and expecting to get hit by all these missing airplanes or other attacks, are the one's who are idiots. Whether we get hit on 9/11 or not. Radical Islam is coming, whether it's this year or next. They plan on nuking us and anyone who thinks otherwise, is essentially working to get us all killed.

Our mean standard of living is decreasing. Keep in mind, households were single-earner in 1965. Forty-years later and two-earner households make the same as one-earner's used to. That's half the standard of living, in my book. Technology is better now, but straight income is way, way worse.

Household income is flat since 1965, despite both spouses now having to work.

This despite liberal policies meant to "distribute wealth." Liberal policies that suck the lifeblood out of mankind and force both spouses to work, just to stay even.

That chart is missing over two decades.

As for ISIS coming, major doubts, but if they do... Nuke the living **** out of the ME and make sure nothing survives, these people clearly haven't learned the first time. They just get angry at everything and stone their women.

Civil society is no guarantee of Jeffersonian democracy. It is merely one requirement. At least that's what many argue...

I misread your post to mean that a civil society must necessarily implement Jeffersonian democracy, my apologies.

sorry, but I would have to argue that things like a less progressive income tax system and general government preference of the rich has caused this situation. If that's a leftist policy, then it is what it is, but it seems more akin to right wing rhetoric than left.

I was hoping the chart would go further into the Bush presidency to see how things went.

Here's one that covers the Bush and part of Obama years:

Leftist's are killing the middle class, making the middle-class poorer.

Yikes, no wonder China became the largest economy in the world this year? China's growing at 8%, while we're literally shrinking. Thanks leftists.

Hard to blame this one on leftist Bush, since the decline doesn't even start until a year into even-more-leftist Obama's presidency.
