Just caught the end of the 'Bama/Auburn game and if you missed it........

Game tied with one second on the clock. Alabama tries a 57 yd FG for the win. The kick is short. Auburn fields it in the end zone and runs it 105 yards for the win.

I don't recall ever seeing that before.

I don't either. I have seen it happen with a blocked kick I think that came down in somebody's hands, but I couldn't tell you when or where or with whom.

Holy crap... I turned the channel after Bama scored their second touchdown in as many possessions. I thought it was all over except the tears in the beer.

Well... War Damn Eagle!!!

Luther, I have never seen anything like that before either. Congrats to Auburn but I feel bad for the Bama team/fans. I really thought they were going to make it through this season undefeated.

Only caught the last 5 minutes and HOLY CRAP what a way to end the game.
Shades of the Giants punting to Jackson.

yeah me and the family watched the final half at our favorite TGIF bar. What a game-it topped the exciting OSU/MIchigan finale as well! (great day for OSU with Bama losing)
my son was complaining about the call that gave Bama that second back on the clock. well it came back to bite Bama in the ass. hard to top those two games in one day!

I watched all the second half, and it was thrilling. But I got goosebumps after that last second. I'm a chick and have never gotten goosebumps watching a football game. That was a play that will be talked about forever in Auburn lore. Just incredible!

So much for the "what do you got to lose , just go out and try a 57 yard field goal" mentality.

Auburn's win yesterday was even better than the punt Bama punt game Auburn won in 1972. Auburn goes from 0-8 in the SEC in 2012 to beating #1 ranked Alabama and becoming SEC West champs in 2013. I'd say Gus Malzon was a good hire. War Eagle, hey!

Especially when the other FGs during this game had gone so well.

Watch and listen to the play by Auburn radio announcers.

Thanks for sharing that. Love hearing the announcers get excited and blown away.

" Oh my Lord in heaven"

I was sitting there saying out loud... "This had better be a fake field goal attempt." That dude missed three shorter field goals earlier. Well, missed two and one blocked but still.

That game was so good my wife actually watched the entire second half with me. Couldn't believe it.

It does, however, piss me off. Ohio St, regardless of if they beat Mich St, does not deserve to be in the National Title game. Dudes barely beat a Michigan team that has looked horrible for 5 games in a row and a Wisconsin team that just lost to Penn St. Meanwhile, Auburn has only lost to a team that is top 10 itself and just beat the #6 team in the country plus they have looked great against everyone else minus Georgia (who were top 10 at the beginning of the season before injuries crushed them).

It should be the winner of Missouri/Auburn versus Rapeis Winston and the Florida St Seminoles (assuming they beat Duke lol).

I like FSU but if they lost to Duke... I wouln't be so hurt simply because Duke is generally a doormat team in football. Hard to pull against such a massive underdog.

The guy who attempted the 57 yard field goal was Alabama's #2 kicker. That was his first field goal attempt of the game. After the game Alabama's head coach Nick Saban said he kicks 60 yard field goals in practice.

ahhhh .. well.... not that day he didn't.

I honestly don't know what was more fun... watching that astounding play and the look of pure wonder on the Auburn players' faces, or listening to the announcer scream himself hoarse and damn near have a coronary!!

It was a different kicker on the last one.
