Historians estimate as many as 500,000 combatants and civilians were killed on the Republican and Nationalist sides in the war. Atrocities were committed on both sides. The victors under General Franco executed thousands more after the war. It is estimated that over 100,000 men and women were executed and buried in unmarked graves during the conflict.

I explained that earlier. There is really no comparison between the woke lefts cleansing of history and anything the right is doing.

Your 'explanation' is sadly lacking any relationship to reality. Removing the statues of Confederate generals, renaming US military bases with the names of true American heroes, and telling kids about the reality of slavery in early America is not "cleansing" our history.

Here's a question for anyone who might know something of standard high school curriculums: Is history only taught for one year of the four that kids are in high school?

Kids already learn about the reality of slavery in school.
