She didn't really have a campaign, considering she had barely 1-2 months to put one together before it really mattered. If you want to blame anyone, blame the former president and his enablers for letting him hang around past the point at which the Dems could have had a meaningful competition.

Harris' problem, beyond having little time and not truly having earned the nomination in the eyes of skeptics, is that as VP, she co-owned the administration's perception problems. Yes, she was younger and had a vibe and all that, but voters had real problems and they wanted a brand that projected strength and power.
