A lot of professional athletes and coaches among others who "play sports" have expressed the same thing that wiggen has expressed so the "you haven't played sports card" doesn't really work here. You never played any sports, did you?
Yeah, wee have to toughen those kids up by convincing them that they're losers.
O conservatives and their pathologies.
Which of course has nothing to do with the quote.

Uh yeah, I actually have as did every single person in my family so I'm quite familiar with it. That's irrelevant though. You haven't either evidently...

But I see you're fond of the deflection defense mechanism. Again, many professional athletes and coaches have expressed the same things wiggen did and they have far more experience in "playing sports" than any of us. How do you account for that in light of your dismissal of wiggen's post?

I agree, abuse and treating kids like snowflakes both leave them unprepared for the world just in different ways. Adults who do either need to get their **** together.Which answers the "you haven't played sports" question.
But really, there is an observable problem and it won't be solved by going to extremes. You're correct, abuse isn't the answer, but neither is coddling or raising hothouse flowers. There is a middle ground.
Now you're abandoning what you said to wiggen. You criticized his post on the assumption that he hadn't played any sports. However, many professional athletes and coaches have said the same things that wiggen said. This means that your criticism of wiggen's post was nonsensical. Do you concede this or will you continue to deflect? No deflection, I post exactly what I intend. Any athlete at any level would not take issue with the actions taped unless they were wussies...

Why would young adults with scholarships who love playing basketball, who are in subordinate positions and who have responsibilities, families, egos and other issues to deal with accept abuse from an authority figure while people like you would blame them for the abuse they received and others would call them "wusses" for protesting stay in such a situation? Well, I don't ****ing know. Sounds completely unbelievable. Why didn't the Rutgers players just say, "**** you jack! I quit!", if they were so opposed to how they were treated? None of them were man enough to stand up to the coach. No wonder they have a losing record.
A sum-bitch hit me with a basketball like that and he would have gotten hit back with the same ball, only harder and his is ****in face.
Actually, you have abandoned what you said to wiggen because you refuse to answer for it. You criticized his position on the assumption that he hasn't played sports even though professional athletes and coaches hold the same position. Do you concede that that will illogical or will you choose cowardice and deflect again?I haven't abandoned anything. Do you have a comprehension issue?
ZZZZZZZ. Yeah, we've only been conveying tone in our written communications since there were written communications. But I'm sure you can come up with a number of studies that show we can't. Hilarious.

How many of us grew up playing dodge ball? Hell that was a regular thing, now you can ask a kid about it and they have no idea what that is. The NFL? Helmet to Helmet hits, I agree, with this column as many kids and adults of today could not have survived 30-40 years ago.
Deflection again. You criticized wiggen's position on the assumption that he didn't play any sports, but professional athletes and coaches hold the same position as wiggen? Do you concede that your original criticism of wiggen was illogical? You appear a bit dense. If athletes felt abused, do you believe they would be too scared to resist? They hold the real power, not the coach, if this were truly an abusive situation...
