I live in northern Delaware(on the line between agricultural zones 6B & 7A) These were among several different types of daffodils I planted at least 6-9 years ago. Each bulb stem produces 3-4 small flowers. I spread out the various bulbs, so that they pop up in several different spots, all in the front yard, all with equal sunlight and equal weather experience.
Most of them come up normally each spring with the other, single-flower daffodils. I intentionally bought early and late blooming daffodil varietes, so that some start blooming as early ones are finishing up. These multi-flowered daffodils are slightly later blooming varieties.
But starting about 4-5 years ago, there have been 2 small patches of multi-flowered daffodils that inexplicably started popping up in NOVEMBER or DECEMBER of every year. They've continued on that cycle ever since, and as long as the daily temps aren't excessively cold in mid-late December, they also bloom! However, have been only 2 seasons where the temps were just mild enough for them to bloom. This past December/early January was one of those years. Last time they bloomed was at least 4-5 years ago, during Christmas and New Years!
I took these photos on the day I was removing leaves, weeds and dead annuals from these beds in December 11, 2021.
