Gov Abbott said he has no concerns about business coming to Texas. But...

Over 300 people died of COVID in Texas yesterday. They've averaged over 250 deaths per day for over a week. The disease there is spreading like fire ants.

Now, they offer a bounty on information leading to proof that someone had an abortion.

In short, the state has gone nuts. So, that begs the poll question.

Army ants! They laid waste to my lawn in less that a week…..

Corpus Christi kicks ass.

Aransas Pass is straight out of Jimmy Buffet(ville)

Go ahead and shit on the state if you like, because most of the people there don't bother reading the likes of you.

Maybe I should make a thread and ask the reader if they would move to your state. Ohio, right?

No, I wouldn't. I hate winter and already did the Midwest once. Never again.

Then again, as more and more tech nerds like me move to TX, odds grow that it turns blue.

They'd rather suppress the right to vote and women's bodily autonomy than keep the lights on. No way I'd want to move to Texas now.

I have lived in Texas. I have lived in California. They both are above-average states to live in. Would I move back to Texas in the future? Absolutely. I miss Austin.

Austin is an amazing city. I love it there. But I'd still never move there. I'm a northeastern girl who craves the Atlantic Ocean and loves mountains. Too flat for me.

My brother moved to CC from San Diego, it can only “kick so much ass!”

I've considered making the move from Colorado to Texas many times in the past 20-30 years...mainly because I really, really miss the ocean. But I just can't bring myself to leave the mountains. Instead, every two or three years I take a vacation to the S. Padre Island area...get my salt water fix...and come back to the mountains.

I suppose, if I had ended up in Texas instead of Colorado I'd be doing what a lot of other Texans do: Go to Colorado for vacation. Oh, well.

But the thing is...life is how you live it. Not what the politics of the area happen to be. Colorado has some really stupid people with stupid political positions, but that doesn't affect me and my life. If I lived in Texas, their politics wouldn't affect me, either.

Born and raised in Texas, with zero interest in moving back.

My last employer had an office in Dallas and since I had staff there I visited a couple times a year. Texas just isn’t for me. I like water and mountains and there’s a serious shortage of both there.

As to the government. It seems Texans like electing idiots so thats kinda a problem too.

I would never leave San Diego for any other state or city for that matter.

YOU WILL DIE, DO NOT MOVE HERE

"Paid for by the committee of Texans to keep progressives off our highways"

Seriously it doesn't seem like we can do anything that will keep people from moving here, the crazier the laws the more yall keep moving here

I already live in Alberta and get the 'Texas-lite' experience, and that's more than enough for me. Thankfully, provinces in Canada don't have the same autonomy to **** people over as the states do, but Covid cases are rising quickly here, and the whole government has gone into hiding. The rumour is they are doing so, because they hurt the national party's (who aren't exactly playing with a full deck either) chances in the upcoming election, every time they open their mouths. So yeah.

Austin is an amazing city. I love it there.

I never understand people who say that. Austin is a shithole with horrible traffic. DFW has a better night life, Houston has more things to do and San Antonio has better food

It looks beautiful but I would take forest fires over tornadoes any day of the week.
