Would you consider a third party candidate??

The best I can tell this is the list of official 3rd party candidates:
2016 Presidential Candidates (Presidency 2016)
Anybody here blow warm air up your skirt?
Why vote for the lesser evil when you can vote for the least evil?

I'd be mighty surprised if electing any of these third party candidates to the presidency would result in anything significantly worse than what we will get.
Besides, it'd be great fun to watch Big Politics have to deal with a "rogue" actor in the WH.

Because if you vote for a 3P candidate, while you are voting for the guy who gives you what you want, you are voting against someone who has a chance of getting you some of what you want and voting against someone who going to get you none of what you want. It's about who you don't vote for more than who you vote for in our current paradigm.

So based on him/her actually saying it, & then the actual desire to do it, then the will to it & then "a chance" to do it......lol No, I will go w/ my best pick rather than a vain hope of all that BS......

..and that's how Bill Clinton got elected. Had there bee no 3P candidate, he would gotten beaten pretty handily and gone down in history as just another failed candidate. The question isn't about who you want to vote for, but rather who you should vote for for the best good of the nation. Yes, I've had to hold my nose and vote for people that I thought were horrible candidates, but voting any other way than I did would not have been in the best interest of this country.

I didn't vote for clinton... Oddly enough....Or not, he got reelected....HHhhmmmm

bill incarceration clinton was a republican as far as I am concerned in many ways...

Clinton was a bit right of center and certainly more conservative than the republican who replaced him.

I am a registered Independent...but there is no way I would waste my vote on a third party candidate.

On January 20, 2017...a new president will be inaugurated. The person will be either the person who headed the Democrat ticket or the person who headed the Republican ticket.

I am a champion of a progressive agenda...I want to see safety net programs protected and expanded. There is no way I want to see a Republican get hands on the Oval Office...and by extension, the Supreme Court.

I'll be voting for the Dem!

As long as this is the prevailing attitude, the two party one agenda system will remain in power until the system collapses, congratulations on so dutifully fulfilling your role as a ...

I'm interested in keeping a Republican out of the Oval Office.

If you want to think I am a sucker for doing so...fine with me.

I think people who want to play games with the process...are not thinking clearly.

So you don't vote for the best person to run the country you vote for the person with the best chance to keep the guy you don't want in office out...and people wonder why the country is going down the drain.

Is that how you read that?

Not what I said.

I am a pragmatist. The next president will either be a Democrat or a Republican...chosen by those parties as their candidate.

If you want to waste a vote on a third party candidate...do so.

I do not want to waste mine...and I do not want a Republican in the Oval Office.

Whoever the Dem is...that person will be more in tune with what I want for this country than the Republican candidate.

But if it makes you feel better about yourself to think they way you do about what I said...go for it. I'm always happy to contribute to someone else's happiness.

Sadly that is a very popular "American" concept..

I do not want to waste mine

This IS why the country is going down the toilet.

People like you who insist that any vote not for a D or R is a waste.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING will change if you keep voting for the same party idiots over and over again.

Nothing will change anyway. Unfortunately voting doesn't fix anything. That's a pretty serious flaw in our political system.

Yes - but supporting it by voting R or D just reinforces the insanity.

Revolution doesn't have to be violent.

Stop buying the products that the R's and D's produce.

The thing with the US system is that is creates more variety within the individual parties, than you find in multi party systems like Germany's between the parties.

I agree with you but I no longer vote after finally realizing it doesn't fix anything. I just watch from the sidelines.

Okay...then vote for a third party candidate.

Come back after election day and tell us how the person did.

I do not concede that these people are idiots...but I am confused by the fact that you seem to think things will change if we vote for a third party idiot?

Why?

Why??

Circumstances??

Yes, because after decades of Republocrat rule, we have stagnated on what they can do for the Republic and they now operate for the Party above the People. Voting third party is the only tool we have to apply force on the main party to pull it back into reasonable territory.

Okay...then vote for a third party candidate.

Come back after election day and tell us how the person did.

And keep voting the R and D, and see nothing change. That's where we are at.

Okay.

But I am not saying or inferring that things will change.

Some here are inferring that things will change...if only we would vote for people who are not Democrats or Republicans.

I personally consider that poorly thought out.

What makes anyone think that a Green Party candidate, for instance, is going to be any more honest and any less influenced by money groups than the Democrats and Republicans. Or the Conservative Party; Liberal Party; American Party; Know Nothing Party; God's Own Party either.

The idea just doesn't compute.

It's the only lever we have to try to affect the system. 3rd parties don't need to win, they just need to make one side of the Republocrats unable to win. That side will have to shift policies to recapture voters.

3rd parties are likely going to start out more honest and less influenced by money because they aren't getting those big corporate donors. The ones running in the third parties are running more on ideology than on party politics and corporate donation. If they start getting elected, that will change. It's a never ending process, to police the Republic. But it's necessary if we are to remain free.

The Republocrat party has stagnated, it serves corporations and special interests, not the People. And they have no fear of loosing power, they just teeter-totter between their two halves. To bring them in line, they have to fear that they can actually lose power. Or we just dump them all together for something else. Political parties have changed, and probably need to continually be turned over in order to keep things running as close to proper as government can get.

Okay...like I said...vote for a third party candidate.

And you can come back and tell us how much better the republic is because of that. (My apology to you for being snide here, but it is almost necessary.)

No, it's not necessary. It's just stagnant thinking. Support of the status quo will not change the status quo, but you convince yourself that voting for the status quo is the only acceptable solution. Meh, keep supporting the Republocrats and you can come back and tell us how much better the republic is because of that.
