Not at all far fetched. People like Graham and McConnel have had their come to Jesus moment regarding the idiot in the White House. Only 20 out of 53 GOPers would have to vote yes to flush the swirling turd.

The Georgia phone call in demonstrating a treasonous attempt to steal an election coupled with the Trump insurrection of the Capitol Building is perfect justification to get rid of this guy NOW.

Amendment 25 will not fly because Pence is a coward.

Rational thinking people, whether they be Dems or GOPers know Trump has to be removed right away. It's wayyyyyyyyyyyy too dangerous to have our country run by a con man for even one more day.

Wow. The Marxists have really distributed their talking points. I mean, this is straight out of the USSR "If you don't agree with us, you must be insane", and thus, removed".

His powers must have already been completely disabled. He must be in some kind of custody. I can't believe they haven't announced his removal, yet. Pence might be the problem. This is nuts, and it seems that not enough "liberals" here get it. How can anyone not get it? Trump makes Nixon look saintly.

And, no, Graham is still going along with Trump.

I would love to see if they would not, thinking a lot of support trump once enjoyed has faded away. Congress is not in session until the 19th, so it would have to be a special session. The thought is good but for now I believe that may only be a dream.
Not that he would, but I hope he stays hundreds of miles from the swearing in, he is not wanted.

No, he's been neutered and that speech tonight proves it. And too many Republicans in the Senate are still too scared of his base to vote to impeach.

I asked a simple question whether or not 2/3 of Senate would vote for impeachment. Yes or no Adolph. Remember, your boy is on tape asking the elections in Georgia be stolen. He also has been accused by multiple Republican Senators including the House majority leader that he incited the insurgence yesterday. If you knew my lifetime voting record you would never call me a Marxist.

Graham most certainly is no longer "going along with Trump". He made that clear yesterday when he said "count me out".

No, you can disagree. You just can't foment rebellion.

Oh, right, believing a president should be impeached for fomenting riots is straight out of Das Kapital. GTFO.

Ok. But he's talking against removing Trump; trying to diminish Trump's involvement in the attack.

.... then get them on record. Who are these people that do not think calling a mob to stop a democratic process is impeachable. If what Trump did is not impeachment worthy, what is? Let's find out.

Expose everyone who had a role in this. Don't let them play out their careers like nothing happened because something sure did, and it isnt something that can be forgotten.

This moment is up there with 1812 my guy.

Democrats blew the 2020 down-ballot races by not getting GOPs on record for Censure after Helsinki and Ukraine.

Voting to impeach along with calls to ‘defund the police’ cost DEMs 13 seats in the House.

Without Trump giving DEMs the Georgia Senate seats, Biden’s Presidency would have been neutered by McConnellism.

Stop trying to diminish the role of progressives in the party whenever you think you have a victory over Republicans. Both Ossoff and Warnock use "demilitarize" because there are comfortable ass people like you that start shaking whenever citizens dont want to pay for the hypermilitarized police agencies that exist now. They mean the exact same thing.

That kind of talk from the regressive Justice Democrats will cost DEMs the House in 2022.

DEMs barely hold the House and face daunting disadvantages with redistricting and reapportionment.

DEMs will no doubt piss away what Trump did yesterday by overreaching, as they did with the Ukraine Impeachment.

It’s obvious that the vast majority of DEMs are too stupid to understand why they need to get Repubs on record for CENSURE.

The Republican Senate had their chance already and decided to back the pathological narcissist.

Well, Trump is insane along with crooked, weak, stupid, et al.

Chuckle.

I strongly doubt it. Trump still has too many supporters that congressional republicans are afraid to piss off lest they get primaried.

If they don’t like people storming the capitol building I’m pretty sure removing Trump is not the best way to keep the building unstormed.

this is a good example of how leftists in the bubble are totally unconnected from reality. Polls show Around 50% of Americans think the election was stolen, I don’t think many people hold the US government or the institutions of the Cathedral in high regard anymore, and talking to friends and coworkers even the ones who didn’t vote for Trump think the picture of the Viking horn guy in Pelosi’s chair is hilarious. The Cathedral is acting with all the outrage “the world is laughing at us” “democracy is in danger” “our democracy” (just as a side note, it’s clearly obvious that when the elite says “our democracy” emphasize the OUR in that sentence) as if anyone actually cares. It’s kind of funny to see the performative outrage.

they’re acting like Caucescu when he heard booing for the first time.

no, they won't vote to convict, IMO.

Yes. I said it at the time, the Dems delivered the Republicans an incredible off-ramp (with a bow around it) that they should have used to exorcise themselves of Trump. Had they done so, they likely would have saved the Senate and White House. I bet that will be on McConnell's list of regrets.

no, they won't vote to convict, IMO.

Probably not, though it will be much, much easier to attain that than earlier this year. The political winds have radically changed. Right now Trump is toxic. Its a great way to distance yourself from him. They only would need 16-19 Republicans, depending on how fast Georgia certifies.

Moreover, it doesn't really matter. The process will generally tie Trump's hands and, to me, the most important aspect is the historical record this creates. A twice Impeached, one term president will be easily branded as America's worst president for a hundred years. Schoolchildren will be taught of the sins of this generation; future presidents will have a record of what not to do and its consequences if you do.

Can you share a link to a poll that shows 50%? Because all of the ones I've seen show far fewer Americans believe the election was stolen. Here's one from Fox News I found:

Few Americans outside of Trump voters seem to feel the election was stolen.

You don't get it and from reading your crap here on a daily basis and you never will. First off, nowhere near 50% believe this election was stolen NOWHERE NEAR. You people need to understand that that type of daily bullshit promoted by this president and the radical right wingers like Hannuty and Limbaugh led to the American tragedy that happened Wednesday. Shame on all of you for trying to overthrow our democracy.

Here in this country, we are NOT governed by Third Reichs. If you love kings and monarchies ruling your country, I would offer to traitors like you to pack your bags and move to places like Iran. The sooner this country is purged of people like you the better.

As for my thread here, all the naysayers need to take notice that just as I surmised, more and more Republican Senators are now on board to impeach his ass. Only 20 out of 53 GOP Senators need to vote for democracy over party. Whereby the narrative of "can't piss off the Trump base for future political considerations" was chic one short week ago, many Republicans are now facing the music. They are concluding that this bastard has destroyed our once proud Republic. It looks to me that Trump will be shown the door next week. Good riddance.

You think we should bow to terrorists and their interests, then?

**** that. Let them try that again.

It never fails. Leftists always use the term “our democracy” meaning you see it as solely a means for your power. You’re not a principled defender of democracy. Cut the sanctimony
