She expects wide spread famine especially in Northern Gaza but also throughout the besieged territory. Meanwhile Israeli air and artillery strikes are hitting desperate women and children foraging for food and wood or lining up at food distribution points before the humanitarian organisation's food runs out completely. What is happening in Gaza is pure evil and now, more than a year after the heinous terrorist attacks by Palestinian militants, the preponderance of that pure evil is being done by agents of the State of Israel under the direction of the Netanyahu Government. How the wheel has turned.

Palestinian civilians are human beings today just as Jews were and still are human beings today. The killing of either peoples in a systematic way is genocide either way. Stop turning away. Have you not been reading or listening to the Netanyahu-led Israeli Government or the US President. Gaza is to be ethnically cleansed in part or full. There is no incentive for Hamas to do any release (even though I believe it's the right thing to do too) especially since the Netanyahu government has repeatedly broken its agreed to obligations in previous ceasefire agreements with Gaza militants and the Lebanese Government and Hezbollah to the north. The powerbrokers of much of the world are blind and deaf to the suffering of innocent civilians in Gaza, Syria, Africa (Sudan is far worse than even Gaza right now as is Congo) and parts of Latin America and Asia. This indifference means no outside state is going to stop the State of Israel, even if all the hostages are released if still alive or their dead bodies returned to Israeli authorities if they have died. The prey of the past have become the predator of today and too many new predators are intoxicated by the power they feel now. In becoming predators they are forsaking some of their Judaism and that is an historic tragedy in my opinion.

The people who were murdered during the Holocaust obviously have no say in what their suffering is used to justify.

My view is that if they were ever able to see what is going on in Gaza now and what has gone on there since 1967 and see how what happened to them is being used to silence criticism of it , they would be totally gutted.

The conflict is more nuanced than what you are presenting and you know it. The Palestinians have legitimate grievances. But they need to find a way to get the world on their side and terrorism and murder is NOT the way to do it.

Your post #12 did not say civilians it said whites. I was answering the question which you asked and which I bolded, not a hypothetical question which you didn't ask. Civilian deaths in the First Anglo-Zulu War were not well recorded but estimates place them between the high hundreds to the low thousands. However many of those were killed by the British Empire as it used bayonets, and fire to kill and burn homes and crops to starve Zulu civilians. Approximately 300 European civilians died during the war by violence.

You set you threshold of deaths in Israel at 1200 but on Oct. 7th. That approximate number included Israeli military, armed police and border guards all of whom performed military tasks. 815 of the dead were civilians, not 1200. An additional 245 were kidnapped but some of those were military or paramilitary police and border guards.
