And, if voting in person, you have to have an acceptable ID to vote in Colorado.

Colorado ID Requirements for Voting In Person

ACCEPTABLE ID

If your ID shows an address, it must be in Colorado.

You can use one of the following IDs if it is unexpired:
  • Colorado driver’s license
  • Colorado ID card
  • US Passport
  • Medicare or Medicaid card
Other forms of ID:
  • Certified US birth certificate or naturalization document
  • Group residential care facility verification
  • Tribal certificate
  • Name and address on copy of utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document including check (within 60 days)
Must be unexpired and show photo:
  • Employee ID issued by United States, Colorado or their subdivisions
  • U.S. military or veterans ID
  • Student ID issued by post-high school institution in Colorado

The whole thing is pretty bizarre. Especially given that the changes aren't really sweeping or unusual - and are really intended to address legitimate concerns in the last election. MLB owners are also a very small club - this hurts the Braves' owner. It was probably difficult to find a venue that was politically suitable, willing to take on the game just snatched from another owner, and able to have people at the game.

Good thing Colorado doesn't have stupid laws limiting things like drop boxes, which is one of the parts of the GA law that is so onerous.

In fact, as one of our mods like to point out, Colorado is quite good about mail in voting, so its a good move by the MLB

What percentage of voters in Colorado vote in person?

Out of 2.8M votes cast, 78K were cast in person.... LMAO...

Another win for White Privilege, thanks to DEMOCRATS.
It's a win for Democracy. And you know why the MLB did it. IT WAS THE PLAYERS PRESURING THE MLB. THEY WOULDN'T PLAY IN GA BECAUSE OF THAT LAW.

And there you are again, trying to keep black people down. Typical modern republican.

LOL... The All Star game isn't till July 13th... I think they can manage....

The changes are targeted at black and working poor voters. They make absentee voting almost impossible, drastically cut the number of drop boxes, and give the right to declare the result to the ruling Republican clique. Nothing sweeping or unusual to see here!

It's very low, but that's not the point. ID is required when voting in person.

Or...do you think reasonable requirements for proving your identity are okay if only a small percentage of voters vote in person? When a larger percentage decide to vote in person, do you think we should throw those requirements away? I don't.

btw, when voting by mail in Colorado, one must first be registered to vote to receive a ballot. To register, one must provide the same ID as a someone voting in person...PLUS, the signature on the ballot must match the signature on the registration.

So, in Colorado, ID requirements are the same no matter how one chooses to vote.

I suspect that the choice had more to do with airline connections.

Not exactly , Atlanta's wealthy white privilege ultra liberals, whose cash cow is the Braves are at the top of the S. O. L. list on this one .
Very predictable.
The only thing that any of them had in common was their common rage & hate .
With Trump no longer available. the circular firing squads are forming fast.

Colorado has laws about drop boxes as well. Counties are not allowed to put them just anywhere they want to.

Regarding mail in voting...which is a separate issue...I am happy we have it. It works well and we've had it for eight years...long enough to work out the bugs and make it safe, secure and fraud free.

Yes I am sure a drop box cannot be placed in crazy uncle george's attic.

Actually, it could...if it meets other requirements...though crazy uncle george might object to having the box in his attic.

It would not be publicly accessible in that situation.

The point is yes, there needs to be some regulation on where drop boxes are so that they can be maintained, watched, accessible, etc, but claiming that Colorado has a problem because of that is a disingenuous concern, at best

White privilege? You need to look up the definition.

It's a win for common sense. Common sense is in short supply in the QGP.

Colorado has GQP influence in the Springs and the western slope (looking at you Boebert). But Denver? Denver is good.

Does nobody see the irony of the whining about wokeness a couple of days after the worldwide Christian celebration of Jesus being woke?
Does anyone see a massive level of stupidity and hypocrisy on the part of Democrats; anyone with two brain cells to rub together does.

Wait.....they have a voter ID law in Colorado?

That's all false - particularly the claim that it targets certain voters.

Denver requires photo ID to vote, has less days available for early voting, restricts people visibly affiliated with a campaign from handing out food/water within 100 feet of a polling location, and requires signature verification on mail-in ballots.

Congratulations on becoming a meme MLB.
