WNBA 2025

There’s your old stand-by, “you people” again. You should really rethink your penchant for pointing your finger at others here.

“A reporter then asked Reese how she was affected during the game against the Fever and how she was able to focus “with this going on simultaneously.” The “this” that the reporter referred to was the racist heckling that apparently did not exist. Reese did admit that it was “hard to hear” the taunts.”

You’re wrong again, and no, I don’t. I couldn’t care less about phony people who are attention seekers.

Well, I can’t possibly wonder why that is. However, I condone exactly none of that. But I also believe you should first take a look in the mirror and figure out if your own actions contribute to the problem. Like reposting a TikTok video on her page containing a screenshot of an X post mocking Clark as a “white gyal running away from the fade.” But you’ve got nothing to say about that.

And I didn’t claim she said something about racist remarks. I stated that she never denounced it. Get it right. She decided to play the victim, yet again.

Why are you posting lies here? You obviously have no clue as to what race baiting actually is. You’ve just decided to confiscate the term to use anytime a black athlete is being criticized.

The article stated that Reese said it was “hard to hear” the taunts, not that she didn’t hear any racist remarks. Which there were no taunts.
See how this article is misleading. The answer to that question is very vague and race baiting. You are a race baiter she already said she didn’t hear it. The response in this article is misleading.

Obviously you care. You pulled up a misleading article intended to race bait to suit your narrative.

I and still waiting to see that tik tok video you people claims exist. Where is it?

What in the hell is she supposed to denounce? You people expect so much from the little black girl and nothing from the white one. Must she respond to every accusation?

You post a misleading article and declare you are not race baiting. Sure

Nope. We just understand that expressions like this come from racists.
So does DEI and thug. 😉 If “ you people” don’t apply to you, then you shouldn’t have a problem with it.

You should know better than that. Apparently not. You may want to take a moment to figure it out.

I came across it and read it long before I posted it here for your enjoyment.

I thought that you posted that you follow social media. What do you think happened to it? Angel Reese deleted it. There are screenshots of her TikToc though, and it’s easy to find. Get to work if you want to see it.

Ah, poor Angel Reese. In front of microphones, in front of the press, yes. She used it to her advantage, making her look like she’s some sort of victim. All she had to say was, “I didn’t hear anything.”
You post a misleading article and declare you are not race baiting. Sure
Your posts, chock full of false accusations, belong in the nearest trash bin.

Here’s the most recent Stat Stuffer just for you. Butter pecan… BANG!

Wow! Posting a Reese hater video. Priceless. See, you just proved my point. Why do you hate this girl so much. I know why, just admit it. Anyone can make a video of all the bad plays anyone has made who plays a sport. So why just pick on her?.I know why. Why don’t you just admit it. You wouldn’t even know who she was if she did give Clark the hand jester way back in college. You people need to grow up and let it go like Clark and Reese have.

Now you want to tell me she deleted a tik tok that never existed. Race baiting. She said she didn’t hear anything. Read the entire article. It is misleading. Just like the video you just posted. You are the one making false accusations. I never accused her of anything.

<Yawn>. The business of defending Angel Reese is sure serious business, isn’t it?

When I watch basketball in any league or college, I like to watch skill, like skill in shooting the ball. It is what the game is about. I see plenty of it in the WNBA because I have a subscription to WNBA League Pass. I watch much more than the Indiana Fever games, but since I watched Caitlin Clark in person as far back as high school and practically every Iowa Hawkeye game she played in that was televised, they’re my favorite team. I make no apologies for that, nor does my knowledge take a back seat to anybody else here, you included. But feel free to try me. So far all you’ve posted is stuff about race and hate.

LOL. You people been demonizing this young lady and then have a nerve to say I am seriously defending her? Do you know how stupid that sounds. You hate her so much that you have to search for misleading videos and articles about her. Those videos and articles surely aren’t on the league pass which I also subscribe to. I like the game and hate the hate. Clark and Reese were both considered top players since high school. They have been playing against and sometimes with each other since high school. They are both good players for sophomores

You don’t have to hate Teese to love Clark

C’mon, after the classless stuff she pulled at the end of the 2023 NCAA Championship Game, then all the talk about how she should be the WNBA Rookie of the Year, and how people come out to see her, not just Caitlin Clark, it’s pretty damn easy to dislike her act. Note that I didn’t say hate. You’re way off base claiming I hate Angel Reese. I dislike her lack of class, her big mouth, and her constant victimization routine. She may think she’s God’s gift to women’s basketball, fashion, and social media, but here’s a newsflash- she’s not.

Bottom line is let your play on the court speak for yourself. You know who does that? Yeah, Caitlin Clark does.

By the way, did you watch the Chicago Sky win their first game of the season tonight against Dallas? Do focus on anything besides carrying the water for Angel Reese? She had 6 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. You’ll probably guess wrong that I’m critical of that stat line, but I’m not. 5 assists? Could Angel Reese finally be figuring it out, that if she passes the ball instead of going up with it and clanking it off the rim or getting it stuffed or turning it over, that her teammates just may get the Sky some wins? Cardoso was great tonight.

<Lame meme deleted>
Just what I thought. You didn’t watch the game. That’s all you had to say instead of posting some lame meme for a response. Face it- posts with you ass-kissing and defending Angel Reese is all you’ve got. Obviously, you don’t like watching good basketball, or else you could focus on something other than her.

Here’s the latest Stat Stuffer video, posted just for your viewing pleasure. How anyone can be a fan of this brand of basketball is beyond me, but we do have you as proof. What a low bar she sets.

I watched the game. It wasn’t Angel’s best game. Cardoso had a great game. It’s been times where cardoso had a bad game and Angel had a great game. In the all star game last year, Angel had a great game and Clark didn’t. They are human. What does that have to do with anything. Let it go. The meme describes you exactly. It is not about the game to you. It’s personal. Very immature on your part

You first.

You were the one with the ill informed, incorrect post that shows just how wrong you are.
None of you people were ever concerned about the WNBA until Angel Reese gave Caitlin Clark the John Samos a few years back when LSU won the championship against Iowa. Then you people went buck wild with your race baiting. These ladies are over it. Time for you people to get on board.

Listen up, and listen up good- I was watching Caitlin Clark in person in high school before you ever knew Angel Reese existed. I’ve lived here in Des Moines for 31 years.

I’ll put my basketball chops, college, NBA, and WNBA (and those of any other sport), up against anything you’ve got, any day. Your posts are pure projection, because you’re the one that takes this subject so personally and you can’t help but wag your finger at everybody else here about race. Of course, you’re the one who posted the juvenile meme and stupid photos and think you’ve got room to accuse everyone else of being immature. Not hardly.

So why are you still stressing over a hand jester and following Angel’s every move. Just enjoy the games and leave all that childish BS alone.

As I said, you first. You can’t let it go. Always got to get the last word in. You’ve got nothing fresh. You just keep repeating the same tired crap.

And it’s gesture, not jester. You still can’t get that right. FFS, online dictionaries are simple and easy to find.

People don’t sit around, keep their mouths shut, and let overt racism rule, which is what you keep proposing. If the roles were reversed, you would be howling nonstop.

Please, Through this whole thread, I have been trying to convince you people to let it go. Accept that you are guilty of this bs. I have not said one negative word about Clark or any other player in the league. You can make the same claim

No, I’m not accepting any of your “sweep-it-under-the-rug” BS. You keep right on with your “nothing to see here” routine. People like you are guilty of accepting this league for what it’s been and you long to hold for the status quo. I don’t.

Others like me see the promise that it can be a much better product without all of the rhetoric and petty jealousy from players, past and present, who now get microphones put in front of them and cameras on them because they’re on television. Crappy behavior only gets cured when players are called out for their actions, and there’s no place for double standards.

It was super satisfying last season watching Indiana go 3-0 against the Phoenix Mercury to shut up Diana Taurasi and her big mouth, who was writing checks she couldn’t cash. The whole UConn gang mentality is offensive to many who want to like the sport of women’s basketball.

One of the things that’s going to cost the WNBA in the long run is the mediocre to poor officiating. The overly physical play that’s been excused by the WNBA because “that’s the way it’s always been” is a culprit. Watch any game involving Alyssa Thomas. I want to watch basketball, not a form of football. It doesn’t have to be that way, and people are going to get turned off by the obvious fouls not being called.

I could go on and on, plus name more names, but you’ll just find it an excuse to brush it all off as nothing. Since you have to have the last word as only immature people do here, I’m retiring from this thread for now. Perhaps @Rogue Valley can step in- he has a wealth of knowledge about the WNBA (although he’s a UConn fan) and I’m betting he still follows the league. He can joust with the best of them here. Maybe he can joust with you for a bit.

None of what you say makes since. Alyssa Thomas is one of the best players in the league if not the best. Sure the league has lots of problems, but it is a young league and I am sure it will get better. Athletes talk smack. That’s what they do including your little angel Clark. It’s fun. They should be allowed to have fun without you putting your two cents into it

Clark is an asset to the league but there is no need to hate everyone else. I wish all of the players success. No ill will for any of them

You really hate Clark, why?
You know taking my statement out of context is trolling.

You could lock Angel Reese in gym alone for a weekend and she would score 10 points and have 10,000 offensive rebounds.

Why all of the hate and lie. Stats are facts. Not your hate. Let it go

I wouldnt be shocked if Clark is killed on the Court. All the players are jealous of her. They are mad at the huge ratings boost she gives the league that no other player can. She should retire healthy and let the WNBA go back to a racist obscurity. Why didnt her team mates punch out the other team?

Two white girls fight on the court. Heaven forbid 🙄

What does race have to do with it, except in your head?

Why go right to throwing down the race card here instead of any commentary at all on the game situation and the altercation at the end of the game? Could it be that the sum of your knowledge and posts about the WNBA only revolves around the hate you claim you don’t have for white players? Sure looks like it.

My assertion is that the WNBA is racist as are certain reporters.

There is huge resentment of white players success. Caitlin Clark’s treatment: Some argue that the rough physical play and dismissive attitude shown toward Caitlin Clark — a white rookie — by some Black players reflects resentment or racial bias. For example, Chennedy Carter's hard foul on Clark sparked national debate, with some seeing it as targeted aggression rooted in more than just competitive play. There is also social media mocking: Some fans and even players have mocked Clark's popularity, suggesting she's only being hyped because she's white — implying her success is unearned or invalid. Critics see this as racial bias against her

There are hostile comments to white fan bases. There is also selective outrage. When black players are criticized there are accusations of racism but when a white player is criticized they are told to toughen up and accept their privilege.

You know what? I just realized that you probably also think that males should bec competing against females in female sports... so this debate is already lost.

That’s your reply? Quoting someone else’s post on the entire WNBA instead of commenting on the particular game and situations? What depth you have… it’s so easy to see that your posts in this thread are nothing more than mindless troll jobs. Your posts are a complete waste of time. Well, not any further for me.
