I feel kind of sorry for people who feel they need guns to "protect their family." What kind of neighborhood do they live in? What kind of people do they have for acquaintances to be afraid someone will shoot them, rob them, etc., that they need to carry a gun, have AR15s that don't hunt? When fear monopolizes your comings and goings, life must be quite unpleasant.

One of our fabulous DP Gun Nuts told me that he had pulled his gun out on many people to "head off trouble before it started". I wonder how you know that trouble is about to start if it actually hasn't started yet? I dunno, it almost sounds like he just pulls his gun out unnecessarily on a lot of people. And he also said that his wife and all of his adult children all carry guns and they have all pulled their guns out on people multiple times.

I find that truly amazing. I mean....I have been walking around for decades and decades and have never carried a gun and have never pulled a gun on anyone. But this person, his wife, and all of their family all carry guns and all have pulled guns out on people multiple times.
This is why people shouldn't carry guns imo, they always want to pull them out when it was never necessary.
