With Thompson out, I'm not voting in '08

waiting for a perfect candidate is futile....

Voting for POOR choices merely encourages more poor choices.

Maybe you're fine with voting for "Whatever man" I'm taking a stand. It's just me, probably matters not a whit, but it's my choice.

Well I have sat out the last two presidential elections. I think this time I am going to vote. I am just going to have to decide which presidential candidate is going to agree with me the most. None of them are ideal.

Right now McCain is the one I am considering the most. Romney and Huckabee have no chance at my vote. I could stomach voting for Paul as well, in the unlikely event he received the nomination.

McCain, almost at the bottom of his graduating class at the USNA, not the most moral man compared to Huckabee or Romney, can't keep his pants zipped so his first wife dumped him, married Cindy who has a LOT of money, went into politics after his military service (thanks for that, John, but that by itself isn't enough when picking a president), not well liked by many other republican senators and representatives because he votes against many republican bills, not well liked by democrats because he is a republican, has a pathetic understanding of economics, has very little formal education, none of which is in law or business compared to Romney, or HRC for that matter.
Yeah, he is the one. HRC will rip him a new anal opening....
But if it is John against HRC, I will vote for John.....

A presidents personal struggles is not at the top of my list of concerns. I could care less about his infidelities as I could care less about Romneys mormonism.
I also think "formal" education is overvalued, and therefore not an issue for me. I could care less what degrees they have or what college they attended(if any).

McCain worries me with immigration mainly. I don't see anybody else stepping up to the plate either, so I am afraid the problem will persist regardless of the president.

Indeed. Honestly, unless there's a pretty decent criminal infraction, I don't care much about a politicians personal life. The only reason I really cared about Clinton's issue was because it was with a subordinant, in his office. I don't think a CEO should be in hot water if he cheats on his wife with some hot chick he met at a resturant...I DO think he should be getting in trouble if he's banging his secretary on his desk every week.

I don't like John McCain that much as a politician, but his past issues with women is no where near the top of the list for why

I suppose that works in politics, but I sure as hades want a college trained doctor when I get really sick. No quackapractors, no needlers, no OTC miracle cures for me, I want an old fashioned medical professional....they don't know everything, but they did spend a decade learning a lot...

Well yeah, in certain professions a college degree is necessary.

If protesting is what you really want to do then you can't
"NOT VOTE" !

When you don't vote you just give more power to the people you are
trying to Protest! And the People you didn't like in the first place.
(I assume most folks are Lesser of 2 Evils Rep-Dem's).
If everyone who was unhappy with the Rep or Dem parties
didn't vote then it would only take about 10,000 Lobyists,
politicians, big business people, corporate lawyers and other
riffraff to pick the next US Prez !

You should at least do a "write in candidate" vote if you can. Or vote
for a third party. Those are far more meaningful methods of protest.
