another lying republican ... but then i repeat myself:Whovian said:State Treasurer Kurt Schuller, a GOP official whose daughter was a Special Olympics competitor, denounced the demonstration in a statement.
"To be confronted by protesters, who will never understand the personal challenges that these Special Olympians face, who decided to politicize a nonpolitical event, shows a complete lack of civility when civility is something we should all be working toward," he said.
Protest organizers disavow Special Olympics demonstration - JSOnlineRachel Grant, a spokeswoman for the Special Olympics, said officials were nervous when the zombie protesters first arrived, but they turned out to be peaceful.
"We were all a little bit on edge, but it turned out for the best," Grant said. "Nothing was disruptive at all."
Kelly Kloepping, another Special Olympics official, said the protesters were respectful and did not diminish the excitement the Special Olympians felt about being in Madison to meet Walker and other leaders.
"We feel it's really about the athletes," Kloepping said. "We knew the protesters were there, but they were respectful of our athletes."
No, because it doesn't matter.
I agree. Your opinions do not matter. NIce that we could come to such an understanding.
He lied about nothing. They were confrontied by protestors... who politicized a non-political event... which showed a complete lack of civility.
I must try to remember that expressing opinons is frowned upon... if you're a member of the GOP.

another example evidencing you make no sense

How were they "confronted"?
Scott Walker is a politician. He politicized the event by being there.
To come face to face with, especially with defiance or hostility
Bullshat. There is no place that is not touched by politics,
there is no place where they are not appropriate.
Maybe they would and maybe they wouldn't. Not everybody thinks that just because their party or their guy did something wrong then its alright.Had this been a Democratic governor, the same people in this thread saying this is no big deal and being completely accepting of this would be pitching a ****ing fit, and they know it.
Do you have credible proof that money removed from special education was directly given to the Koch brothers? Please... link?
Of course it would... Especially if Obama was the guest speaker... that would make it a political event, and worthy of protesting. Haven't you been pating attention? So if your kid or sibling was graduating from a school it would be alright if a bunch of douche bags decided they wanted to steal the spot light to protest a guest speaker or faculty member?

I don't believe he responded to this post.
Nor do I recall ever encountering a a rug more adept at lying then that poster, so I wouldn't expect a reply.

1. they were there to protest walker.
2. them showing up THERE to protest walker meant they were protesting at the special olympics
3. you don't ****ing protest at the special olympics - it is wrong, it is crude, it is narcissistic, those people deserve better than to have their day of achievement hijacked by the vitriol-spewing partisans of either side. this is a lower order of magnitude - but the same kind - of protest that the westboro baptist folks engage in; taking something that is very explicitely about honoring others and trying to make it about you and your anger instead.
i'll admit, I'm surprised. i really didn't expect everyone to immediately be willing to screw over those with special needs to defend public unions. i guess it's true what they say about who owns who.
Well, it's not like the Special Olympians were upset about the protest, is it? Some people dressed as zombies showed up. So what? If they showed up with signs saying that the kids needed to be put down, then that is a good reason to get upset. But they didn't do that, did they? They showed up and protested Walker's policies.
Also, I find it humorous that Walker would even have the balls to show up to an event like this, after gutting special education, and giving the money to the Koch Brothers. The irony here is so thick you can cut it with a knife. His showing up to the Special Olympics is orders of magnitude more repugnant than the protesters who showed up.
To the special kids - Pay no attention to the funny guys dressed in zombie suits, but watch out for that governor who is holding the knife that he is stabbing you in the back with.
Because nothing says "classy" like protesting a bunch of special needs children, and trying to take away their day.
 way to go, unions! way to stick it to the man!!!
Bold part: Prove it. I am not aware that Walker cut any funding for special education...much less gave that money to anyone.
At least Walker isn't complaining about their freedom of speech... that would really make him look like an asshat. And it might be offensive to you, but at least you heard their protest... If they protested at small ceremony or just did a sit in, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation.
I like to see the public this amped up to fight for their beliefs and standup.... I don't care which side they are on. People should be active... If we were more active and had the fight in us all the time, our country probably would be so ****ed up right now.
How about the next time you're at a concert, with front row seats, I get a dozen people to stand in front of you and block your view.
You good with that?
You talk about Walker when these asses show they have no respect for the handicapped?
generally we can know when the Westboro folks are coming. I would hope that if folks had known that union protestors were about to crash the special olympics they would have done something similar.
It took away the respect and praise the Special Needs people were supposed to get.
Instead they could not even see the Governor who was honoring them.
Shows what scumbags unions are
The "me first" liberal union punks showed once again the pathetic hypocrisy that is American liberalism and the Democrat Party.
It is no different than Westboro disrupting a military funeral in pursuit of advertising their own absurd views.
Except we all can criticize that absurdity.
But this kind of pathetic union thuggery ? Nope, its all OK with the me-me-me libs.
No, this just shows how desperate you guys are to attack unions and paint them with a broad brush and as socially indefensible.
