Wisconsin governor authorizes dispatch of National Guard ahead of Rittenhouse verdict
So here's my question: Why? Because the governor knows the answer: The left riot, loot, destroy, and burn when things don't go their way.
We've come to expect it, and as a result, the National Guard needs to be deployed.
How long do we tolerate divisive and destructive behavior? When do we come together and decide once and for all that there is line between protesting and rioting, and rioting will not be tolerated? When will we send the message that as a society we will work through all of our problems together, but we will not bow to threats, violence, and destruction of our communities.
It's time to take a stand. You can support protests or you can support chaos. There is no middle ground.
I support protests, drum circles, singing and chanting slogans, signs, picket lines, speeches, megaphones, marching with a permit, filling the public square, work strikes, job walk-offs, etc, etc.
I will never support or condone criminal activities, assault on police, or destruction of property.
(WFRV) – Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has authorized approximately 500 Wisconsin Army National Guard troops to report to Kenosha ahead of a verdict in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.
The troops will report for State Active Duty as a way to ensure public safety along with local law enforcement, the governor’s office said in a press release issued Friday.
The release did not reference the Rittenhouse trial, aside from Gov. Ever’s acknowledgement that people might be assembling to “exercise their First Amendment rights” in the coming days.
