In a 14-page statement issued Friday, the former president denounced the panel as being made up of “highly partisan political Hacks and Thugs” and criticized Congress for funding the investigation into the Capitol riot despite being what he calls a “Charade and Witch Hunt.” The statement also comes after the Jan. 6 committee voted unanimously to subpoena Trump to offer testimony to the panel as part of its investigation.


“The double standard of the Unselects between what has taken place on the ‘RIGHT,’ and what has taken place with Radical Left, lawless groups such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and others, is startling and will never be acceptable, even to those who will be writing the history of what you have done to America,” Trump said in a statement.

Separation of Powers (remember Congress is not a criminal invesrtigation) says its a horrid idea
as is "waiving executive privlege" by the next POTUS

Assuming Trump is too stupid or too arrogant to know how to type, someone had to type up this rambling, childlike screed for him. What do you think they were thinking while they did so? Oh, that's a good one Mr. President. It will have a much greater impact if you capitalize "that" word but not the "other" word. Oh, and it will really chafe them that you call them the "unsellect" committee. I bet they won't be able to sleep at night the way you eviscerated their work.

NO...

Trump is not strategic in any sense for one thing. He is however very calculating in the moment. The best leader you can have is both Strategic and calculating. Obama was not strategic and was about one quarter as calculating as Donnie. Bush43 was neither. Now there was a real dunce cap. Trump is not at all strategic and is only calculating for his own account and in the moment....24/7....all day everyday. As such Trump will simply do his usual...pushing out any real decision until he has to make it and when he has to make it, he won't testify.
